No. I don't expect any tie with TFA and Rogue One. This is a standalone movie.

 

Introducing Smoke in R1 would be an interesting turn of events for sure.

 

I voted no, I believe he will be normal not the scarred deformed side we have come to know in TFA but the hope is still there found this.

 

Well Vader is in Rogue One and he is tied to TFA so...you could certainly see Snoke even if just in the background.

 

The one in the bacta tank is. Palpatine's insurance policy. Keeping his old master in a jar for later use.

I'm sorry, but your reasoning couldn't make any less sense. Are you really implying that there can be no connections to the other movies because it is a standalone??!! Then what are at-ats, star destroyers, xwings, storm troopers, the death star, and mon mothma doing in this movie if all characters and concepts must be independant of the other films? Not to mention the rumor of Darth Vader and Tarkin.

Including Snoke in this movie would be very logical and very Disney. If you know anything about the Disney brass its that when they own a popular property they will exploit it in every possible way and saturate every possible media with that property. That's why they only build theme park rides based on popular properties, and try to turn their theme park rides that aren't connected with properties into movies ie Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Tomorrowland, and the Magic Kingdom themed movie.

That would be like saying there will be none of the Avengers will be in Civil War because it's a Captain America stand alone movie. Not only does it not make sense but contradicts Disney's method of business.

At some point we have to establish the existence of the Knights of Ren and Snoke outside of TFA. Snoke has been around for a while, so it would make sense to retcon him in to RO to establish his presence in that era.

My prediction, the cloaked figure is Mads as a KoR, and Snoke is in the Bacta Chamber. We also have to remember that Snoke is the Supreme Leader, so how in the world did he get to that level? If he was already involved in the empire and maybe even connected to the inquisitors or Palpatine in some way, then things would begin to make sense.

 

My theory:

The white clothed imperial admiral is greatly injured and restored in bacta only to disappear in the shadows to become Snoke. He could be the Thrawn Character as it kind of fits the Thrawn story and Thrawn Character. I think it is definately not impossible or even unlikely for Disney to do it, I think we have a fairly decent chance that he will make an appearance and or some tie in with The Force Awakens.

 

There will be no Snoke, no Rey's mother, no Knights of Ren. The Story will be about the mission only.

Get used to it, there will be one like that every year.

So basically the Star Wars movies are the only timelines that are in fact storyline saga. TCW and Rebels and the books that are official canon are sidestories. thats what im getting from it all. That rogue 1 is canon in the its own story and it barely affects the SW saga line. hmmm, So that means that Rebels characters will end and that Ezra will not be in any of the ST. Kanan/Ahsoka will end before ANH. Like an untold story of SW. Vader in R1 is just like Vader in Rebels/TCW. I like that, kinda. That if Obi-Wan did show up in R1 it doesnt effect R1 but just his ties to the saga in a whole. hmmm.

You mean this could be the movie where we see him before his transformation, wow that's a big ask to get him involved.

 

I don't think it's him, but it's possible they could allude to or hint at his existence in Rogue One. If I remember correctly, Andy Serkis said that Snoke has been around for a while and had been observing events in the galaxy.

 

It would be interesting and I wouldn’t be against it if they did it well, but I don't think Snoke will appear in Rogue One. We already have a lot of big villains that are supposed to show up as is with Ben Mendelsohn's character, Vader and Tarkin allegedly as well. So I doubt we will get Snoke too.

The mission is already connected to every other Star Wars movie, because after all it is still a Star Wars movie. It is connected via the empire, the rebellion, the death star, and multiple characters. You can't say there won't be any connections since this is already proven wrong and makes me question if you understand the definition.

Ok, there will be a Han Solo standalone...that will connect to 4 other movies...because it has Han Solo in it. There will be a Boba Fett movie that connects to 3 other movies and the Clone Wars...because Boba Fett is in it. Again, likely Vader and Tarkin will be in RO, so they are already connecting to movies other than RO, which connects RO to the story lines of those other movies, but I already explained all this. I clearly don't know what they will do either way, and in spite of your apparent confidence neither do you, but it is logical to expect connections and it is already proven that there will be connections.

And I think you meant 'every other year', but its not like you to make much sense.

 

I personally believe and want there to be a link to Snoke. We won't see him or anything but maybe some dialogue from another character hinting at his existence and possibly learning of his origin (who he was before Snoke: getting his face f*cked up). I think out of everything, Snoke is the most likely link to TFA that will show up.

 

Then explain to me how you have a Han Solo standalone movie when Han Solo is a saga character?
