?

Could the Knights of Ren come before Kylo and be tied to Sabine?

So it may be far fetched, but with all the speculation, I thought I'd add my thoughts. The Rebels crew is going through a lot of hard changes and questioning their moves. the Knights of Ren could have very well started as pro Republic group by Sabine and slowly turned into what Kylo joined later. So has anyone found a true backstory for the Knights other than being Mandalorian?

This is all Wookieepedia has on them:

The Knights of Ren operated in the decades following the Galactic Civil War. They were under the command of Supreme Leader Snoke, who used them as a tool of the dark side of the Force alongside the First Order.[1] The Knights of Ren slew Luke Skywalker's generation of Jedi.[4] Rey, a Force-sensitive scavenger who hailed from Jakku, saw the Knights of Ren in a vision.[1]

I really don't think the KOR are connected to Wren and Rebels.

However, have you heard of the Acolytes of the Beyond?

I think it's unlikely, but I do think it's possible. The thing that makes me think that is that it seems most of them use regular weapons, not lightsabers. If I had to put money on it I'd say that they were just a mercenary group that Kylo assumed leadership of due to his force abilities. Since Kylo serves the First Order they are no longer mercenaries but a special forces type group. If this is the case they could possibly be from Clan Wren.
