SPECULATION Kylo and Rey = Revan and Bastila

    Okay, so... A lot of us have our hearts set on Kylo and Rey being related, but after the most recent TV spot something came to me. Seeing Rey in her resistance outfit made me think a lot of Bastila, I am not sure why. And we all know that Kylo Ren's appearance obviously resembles Revan to an extent.

    So, crazy idea but what if Kylo becomes 'interested' in Rey, and I don't mean just with her force powers. He is conflicted for some reason. After all JJ does like to pull things from past lore, and I have always personally thought if it wasn't for Malak taking Bastila Revan would have gone down the dark path of the dark side once again. In KOTOR the jedi are still stubborn and won't admit their failure of the Mandalorian wars; the failure that made Revan change in the first place. Without Bastila, I believe Revan would have goene back to his dark deeds after his identity revelation.

    Can Rey do the same thing as Bastila? It is something strange but it could be something powerful enough to redeem Kylo during the trilogy. What do you guys think?

    PS- I still strongly believe Kylo and Rey are somehow connected/related. But hey, it would be interesting to see them connected in an alternative way like this.

    I like your theory since I don't believe Kylo is related, but Kylo would need some background that made him going to the darkside kind of justifiable from a certain point of view. There is a bif difference in going to war against the mandalorians and murdering jedi students (if the acdemy rumors are true).
    It would be interesting but doesn't seem likely so far...

    In Kotor Bastila and Revan had time to develop a relationship, to know each other, to grow attachment, how would that play out in TFA? hey i'm with a lightsaber to your neck but you seems fairly interesting

    Oh I love this idea! KOTOR is by far my favorite EU game with Bastila and the story of Revan being my favorite aspects. But even if it doesn't come to light, I'll probably love all of the ST films.

    very very true. war would be a lot different (if the rumors are true) but maybe there was something before the jedi academy slaughter that prompted him to do such an evil thing in the first place?

    That's true. I would love them either way. But hey it would be something we haven't seen yet in a star wars film.

    I'm all for this idea... as long as it is revealed in Episode IX that they are actually related... :eek:
    Their progeny can be the villian in Episode X, Joffrey Skysolo.
