    The yellow sabers in the Knights of the Fallen Empire trailer were absolutely sick. This trailer made me start playing the game again. Yellow could definitely work for Dark Side or non Jedi users.

    Hope it's okay for me to revive an old thread but I like this topic. I am very hopeful that we will see at least one more purple lightsaber in the future of Star Wars. I know there is a silly story behind Samuel L jackson's request to have a purple lightsaber:
    Silly, right? But I have my own theory that makes his saber color a lot more interesting. I believe that there could actually be a plausible explanation for Mace Windu's purple saber and I'm sure I can't possibly be the first person to draw this conclusion:

    Mace Windu's lightsaber is purple because it is a mash-up of Light Side/Dark Side force powers. Blue + Red = Purple. Mace used a fighting style called Vapaad/Juyo/FormVII which "channeled his inner darkness" into his weapon during a fight.
    So there you have it. A Jedi who used dark side techniques; of course he'd have a purple lightsaber. :)

    Oh how I wish this were a canon thing. :D

    In regards to the purple saber, it would have been cooler to have Mace's saver be the catalyst for TFA instead of Anakin Skywalker's saber or maybe Kylo/Finn uses a purple one in VIII

    The fact that Anakin's saber is even in TFA is causing me so much head scratching right now. I think I already read the whole internet trying to figure out the how's and why's of the entire situation. :D

    Mace Windu's lightsaber has to be floating around somewhere on Coruscant. I would be really delighted to see it pop up eventually. :D

    Even though they are already canon due to TCW and Rebels, I would absolutely love to see yellow and white blades in one of the live action movies.

    Maybe, but remember that in the original cut of ANH, there were scenes where the Light Saber was pretty much white anyhow. Plus, even if it is more difficult, I trust that modern day special effects people are up to the challenge ;).
