Lightsaber companies (who to choose) ??

Cool post man! I am about only a year late to this one haha.

But I thought I would give you some of my experiences, I have owned one of all of these at some point. lol

HANDS DOWN the best high end sabers on the market:
Genesis and Vaders Vault!
Everything from piping, lighting to boards, they're the business and are sexy as all hell!
I have a Genesis shell I am filling and it's so nice! But warm that wallet up, cause it's gonna get lit up.

Ultrasabers
If you're super budget focused then, US are good, I bought a few in my early days and honestly I did send a few back.
So, they have a lot of blade colours, basic desgins and awesome for stunting, they hold easy and dropping them is non issue.

FX Sabers
These are my favorite, not for quality or anything like that, just they are traditional and they're real official sabers!
Honestly, you could drop these and they're RIP, dropped from higher than your waist it's done. lol They're to look pretty on a shelf and that's it.

JQSabers
I personally think these guys are the gods when it comes to a stunt sabers, they're well balanced, nice looking sabers.
I had one years ago, Caliburn original style and I would actually have another to be honest.

Saberforge
When we talk, price, looks, quality and all that Saberforge comes out ticking all boxes. Now I think dealing with Phil there is
like dealing with a small child but when you do eventually get your saber, it's a complete joy and an amazing product!
I have had one faulty and in the now 15 I have had that's not bad. First time buyers should look no further.

I'm bouncing between Vaders Vault and Ultrasaber. Longer wait time with VF but from what I hear it is worth the wait.

 

I've been wanting to get into these custom sabers for a long time. I have quite a few master replicas sabers and some recent black series. The custom sabers blow them away! I'm going with Vaders vault. I've researched all the companies and they are the best with customer service and they have the highest quality. I liked some of the saborforge models but I've heard horrible things about there customer service and the quality is not nearly as good. VV have chassis and are made with extremely high quality materials. It takes time but it's worth it. I'm going to order a double battle wrapped Havoc with RGB. This way my Son can have his dream double saber and then we can separate them and duel. I requested custom led lights on the side to make it extra special. Well see how much that would cost. I'm so excited to get my first VV!

 

Whatever you do, do not trust or buy from UltraSabers.

Don't trust these guys. They post pictures that don't represent the finished product, the finished product was supposed to have slits in the hilt for the light to shine through but they pulled a bait and switch move on me.

And they scam you more by making sure the couplers on their saber staffs don't line up properly as you can see in the picture and then offer to send you proper ones if you pay a lot of extra money them for it.

It also showed up with two different size blades of different qualities. Save yourself the headache and just shop elsewhere, these are very low quality.

 

Use saborforge, it's the best of the group. Made custome saber with them. It's balanced and fun to use. The blade is stronger than the other ones.

I have some questions about lightsabers replicas and I think this is the perfect thread for that judging some of the comments that I read here.

Considering that I live in Luxembourg, Europe, from wich sites should I order in case if will buying one?

What do you think about Master Replicas Lightsabers? Are the hilts perfect replicas from the original's one? How does it cost usually one of theses hilts? I found this one in one app thst I use here and I think it looks so perfect, but I would like to know what do you think about quality and price (165 euros). Some pics:



I've been searching for the FX Lightsabers on Amazon from Germany but they're too expensive. How much these saber costs in USA, for example?

Here's Kylo Ren saber for 315 Euros. But I don't know how accurate the hilt is. Are these models made with metal or plastic?



This one of Luke from ROTJ is 700 euros!!!



Actually I'm not sure if I will start to collect them with the blade or without the blade (like the Master Replicas model). The ones with no blade looks much more like the originals one and you can place them in a showcase for example.

What do you think?

 

I just realized that the Obi Wan's saber is not a real scale replica but just a mini saber....don't want it anymore!

 

I used to have some of the regular black series lightsabers with a unremovable blade (ANH Luke, ROTJ Luke & Kylo Ren), but they took up so much room and were awkward to display.

I ended up selling them and replacing them with the legacy hilts from Galaxy’s Edge. Now I can display the hilts, but still have the option to add & remove the blade whenever I want.

Having owned both, I’d also say the Galaxy’s Edge hilts are slightly better (in both quality/accuracy) than the regular Black series from Hasbro.

 

My son and I had to wait for a while till we got it (a few months) but we are completely satisfied with our sabreforge Sabres now.

 

Found this Luke's saber from ROTJ by Master Replicas online for 200 euros.
Is the blade removable? I guess so right?
How much it cost one of these these days?






There is also this Limited Edition of Luke's saber from ANH for 550 euros.

 

Does anybody here owns a LGT saber replica?
Would like to read a review about it.

I have a Skywalker Legacy saber and I really like, its lools very accurate. The only issue is the blade.
I also bought (it didn't arrive yet) a YDD saber, Luke ROTJ, at Aliexpress.

Found some LGT sabers at Aliexpress and they look great, most of them have good reviews. My interest now its for the Leia's one for TROS. If someone have something to tell about this brand I would be glad to read about it.

 

Would like to make a brief review of the saber that I have received today (it arrived at the same time than my Vader's mask!!!).

- It's an YDD Saber, bought it at Aliexpress, Antsabers Store;
- I paid 91€ and 6€ for customs when I received the blade and more 6€ when I've got the hilt (yes they dispatch both separately). Total of 103€;
- 3 Times cheaper than the Legacy saber that I have imported from California some months ago;
- Probably 80\85% accurate with the Luke's saber from ROTJ. There are some differences but it really looks good;
- Almost 100% metal. I guesse just the dark button that ignites it its in plastic;
- When activated the green arow is on;
- The effect of the blade its very good. There is no LED's inside the blade, for me it works much better than the Skywalker saber that I have.
- A little annoying to but the blade in because you need to screw two tiny screws;
- The sound its too loud! But you have the option to leave it without sound;
- Some options for differents kind of sound, included blaster.

Overall I really recommend it. Great addition to my collection.

 

I finally bought Leia's saber (my favorite design for a saber) from Aliexpress.
It is a LGT saber and it came in a hard case.
It looks very beautiful and for me it looks much more accurate (except for the mother pearls parts) than the official model released by Disney, the Legacy sabers.
A lot of colours and sounds are available for this LED model.
Really loved.
