    Depending on whether you believe Lucas or Kasdan (TFA !) is the culprit, here is my list of lines from Return of the Jedi I wish that had not been written / spoken:

    THREEPIO In his belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as
    you are slowly digested over a thousand years. (???)

    BEN Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

    BEN You cannot escape your destiny.

    THREEPIO Wonderful! We are now a part of the tribe.
