Thought I would create this to discuss the little things notice that may or may not be important or may give us an idea of story or order of images.

I will start with a list of items that I know about that have been noticed.

The backpack like thing we see Rey carrying at the end of the teaser when group is looking at the wreckage of the Death Start.
The red ribbon that we see Rey holding when we believe she is training.
The helmet we see when Rey is training.
The brown bandage/arm band that is sometimes on Poe left arm.
The knife/dagger we see Rey holding when it looks like Rey and Kylo destroy the Darth Vader statue/armor or whatever it is.
The device sitting on the dash of the Falcon.
The ring on Dark Rey finger.
The chip or whatever it is that appears to being put into C3PO head.
The moving chair that Palpatine appears to be sitting in. Is it life support?

I think that is it. Add more and discuss what they tell us.

BB-8 top end speed during the Orbak charge. Didn't think the little fella had that in him. I mean I knew he could roll but not like that.
Rey appears to know Kylo is coming on the Death Star wreckage, when we see her from a distance she's looking at the ocean spray waiting

Does the backpack Rey is carrying hold the dagger? Is the dagger the Dagger of Mortis? Is it corrupting and it is what causes Rey to have a vision of Dark Rey?

We can establish a little timeline in the film based on Poe bandage. Assuming he gets hurt sometime during the film we can look at images that show Poe arm and say pre or post injury.

    Pre-Injury
Poe, Rey, Chewie, Finn and C3PO go to Falcon cockpit (Trailer)
Poe, Finn and Chewie running through something First Order firing at Stormtroopers. I imagine this is where he gets injured. (Trailer)
    Visit to Pasaana. (D23)

    Post-Injury
Speech about good people fighting (Trailer)
Poe, Chewie and Finn next to X-Wing (Trailer)
Group looks over wreckage of the Death Star (Teaser)

Are you talking about the cylinder bluish thing? Isn't that the compressor that Unkar Plutt installed?

Nope. It is clearly a miniaturized version of the flux capacitor.

Or perhaps it is one of Iron Man's ARC reactors.

I think it's always been there in various Falcon sets. It's by Harrison Ford's elbow here.

And here it is under Lando's hand.... I just think modern LEDs are used to make it look cooler now. "Upgrades"

*the red scarf on Rey's hand when she catches the light saber
*the lack of R2D2 in most of the trailers (he shows up in #3 for a second).
    *Poe's neck scarf thing
*the horses in the "cavalry charge" scene
    *the medal Leia is holding
*the kylo ren theme playing with the Rise of Skywalker sign at the end of trailer 1
*the Rey theme playing with the Rise of Skywalker sign at the end of trailer 2

    1) The backpack thing definitely points toward her mission being a scavenging one, so we'll get some TFA/Indiana Jones vibes from there, I bet. She'll be going for a maguffin that will be in the pack and will be a good thing to track during a back and forth with Kylo over whatever the thing is.

    2) Red ribbon is interesting. Still not sure what that's about.

    3) The helmet reminds me of the one this guys is wearing from TROS behind the scenes promo photos.
I suspect that will be something like Luke's pilot helmet from his training on the Falcon in ANH.

    4) Good eye. Looks like he gets winged in an early scene while on a mission. That thing is on there pretty tight like a bandage.

He isn't wearing that armband in the desert scenes so I bet he gets wounded during this sequence and the jungle shot from above is from them returning to the Resistance base or before they head off on the next mission.

This scene is also after the desert based on the injury possibility.

    5) Dagger - I'm interested in whether that is the relic they find on the desert planet or in the death star ruins.
Maybe it is the "wayfinder" we've heard about.

    6) Are you talking about the blue thing and the armrest between them?

    7) The ring on Dark Rey's left-hand index finger is hard to see. Maybe the ring (Snoke's ring???) could be what is causing her to have this vision where she sees her dark double.

    8) The chip that is being put into 3PO's head might be a memory chip or some kind of personality device
which may wipe his memory as a sacrifice for answering some important question

    9) Palpatine's moving chair is hard to see but it seems like a mech suit that might be life support and a mobile throne.

It would be interesting to have Sidious introduced in TPM in a walking chair and his story concluded in a different one.

Rey’s line. “People keep telling me they know me. No one does.”

She has probably become famous as a result of being a force user who saved The Resistance but what does she know that we and the rest of the GFFA don’t?

I guess Luke’s whereabouts but that doesn’t seem to match the tone of the scene. Dunno, piqued my curiosity.

I hope so. Comes off as a very YA novel "no one understands me" line otherwise

We wouldn’t want 12-year-olds enjoying Star Wars?

We would. 12 year-olds can have more nuanced and sophisticated thoughts than what you might find in Twilight. And they deserve better-written dialogue

YA and coming of age stories always deal with identity. That's one of the main themes of Rey's story. And asking sincere questions from the heart is going to be part of that. Since when has Star Wars been a bastion of nuanced and sophisticated dialogue? :p

have you ever read YA that wasn't Twilight? some of it is quite sophisticated.
and honestly, the comparison to Twilight is tired and disingenuous.

the theme of alienation is not just about teenage angst either, so maybe "YA fiction" as dig isn't even appropriate. yes, 12 year olds deserve better ~ better than to be treated as if the body of literature aimed at them has no value because one woman wrote a cheesy vampire love story. : D

True. George was known to write some awkward dialogue
    --- Double Post Merged, Oct 25, 2019, Original Post Date: Oct 25, 2019 ---
I have. Guess I remember more of the generalizations of the genre from the 90s and 2000s when those were the books at the book fair. Maybe I should have said "poorly written YA novel" instead of generalizing the genre

YA novels arent something to look down upon. I am a 52 year old man, have read all of John Green's books (would really like him to write a Star Wars book), Hunger Games series, Divergent Series and what may be the best Star Wars book ever Lost Stars. Star Wars is for 12 year olds and the 12 year olds in all of us. Embrace that dont scorn that.

Someone noticed that in the scene where Rey and Kylo destroy the Vader pedestal thing that in the background is Chewie Bowcaster and Bandoleer. It also looks like Chewie doesnt have Bowcaster and Bandoleer when he is running with Finn and Poe destroying Stormtroopers. So is Rey and Kylo doing whatever they are doing while Finn, Poe and Chewie escaping?

I noticed the bandolier but I couldn't see the bowcaster. Can you point me in the right direction?

Is it that thing beside the bandolier?
