    With that context I see you point. I don't think the Jedi need more dirt on them at this point and detracting from them would make them something that its not a great thing restore.

    Actually an interesting question. I think the question of what makes one a Jedi was a code they lived by. For instance, technically, Mace Windu was a Jedi, but used dark force, offensive methods, in his lightsaber battles. Yoda says Jedi use the force for defense only, but Windu obviously disagreed. Maybe we are seeing a redefining of the doctrine. Maybe one can be a Jedi and use force lightning because ultimately you do good for all with the power? It would be a very intersting twist on the force and could open up many possibilities.
