New info on Doctor Strange including confirmation of Dormammu acting as the Sauron to Kaecilius's Sauruman. (Lord of the Rings analogy)

When do you think the trailers for Thor and Spider-Man will be released?

That's a tough one to answer because there isn't much of a gap between GOTG Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming. My guess is both the GOTG and Ragnarok trailers will be attached to some Disney or action film, or just released after debuting on a talk-show.

A GOTG trailer will probably debut before Rogue One.

My guess for the Spider-Man trailer is that it will premiere late January/ early to mid February.

You do realise they haven't wrapped principal photography? That's a silly prediction.

Yeah but that doesnt mean they cant show a quick tease of something or do it like pulling from previous movies and then show a quick shot of the new movie .

They do that at comic cons, not at the cinema. Marvel doesn't tease films that are 11 months away.

Hate to burst your bubble, but... That's just not happening. There's no way that we'll get a Thor: Ragnarok teaser before we get one for Spider-Man: Homecoming. (I do remember hearing something about a potential ETA for the first trailer being in January or February, though I think it's entirely possible that Sony might have something ready in time for Rogue One considering that filming on the movie just wrapped. They could also attach it to Passengers if need be.)

My guesses for potential Rogue One trailers go as follows (my guesses at likely picks in bold):
    • Disney
      • Beauty & The Beast
      • Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
      • Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2
      • Star Wars Episode VIII
    • 20th Century Fox
      • Logan
    • Sony
      • The Dark Tower
      • Spider-Man: Homecoming
    • Warner Brothers
      • Kong: Skull Island
      • The LEGO Batman Movie
    • Universal
      • The Great Wall
    • Lionsgate
      • Power Rangers
    • Paramount
      • God Particle
      • Transformers: The Last Knight
It goes without saying that Disney will make sure that their bases are covered, and that would include one - or both - of their Marvel releases. They might not cover every Disney movie I've listed, but it's likely that they'll use their other tent-poles to advertise some of their biggest movies.

I mean that now, yeah - but the title didn't drop until after I made that post.

I think that promoting Logan in front of Star Wars may be a long shot if they're planning on keeping it R-rated, but given that X-Men: Apocalypse underperformed, they might go with the "PG-13 theatrical cut and R-rated uncut version" thing that they did with The Wolverine. Still, I did want to list a Fox movie among the others.
