Music Recommendations/What are you listening to?

Listening to the Pops channel on SiriusXM today:

I simultaneously get goosebumps and start tearing up when they go into Leia's theme at around the 3:15 mark:

Well... I been through all the many different threads on all manner of different topics but ain't been here yet.
Dunno if you folk would have an ear or like of what I listen to...There's Little of it that's "modern day"
So here's a go at it...

 

I need you all to listen to this, not only is the music video suberb but the music is so great too!!

 

Well...as for "Modern Day Bands" or Artists...there'd be maybe ... only ...three? that I like or listen to...this'd one of 'em.
A two man band called Hillstomp.
They do a modern day Country Blues ( NO, NOT Country...Country Music is Dead) followin' in the footsteps of a few long ago fellas that played this kinda music and it insired the Hell'Outta them.

I can't really get into new music anymore, so I just listen to the stuff I did a while back.

Lately ive been thinking about the White Stripes album Elephant. That was the nest album I've heard in years. I think it came out in 2004, or something like that.

This one is about gossip.

This song, I always wondered the meaning behind it. Now, I think I figured it out. It's about a miserable girl who won't date. Even though its a placebo it will temporarily relieve her pain.

Is it just the name upon the bottle
That determines if it will?

Is the problem you're allergic
To a well familiar name?
Do you have a problem with this one
If the results are the same?

Or, it's an advil commercial. Lol.

This is about Jack when he was in math class. He didn't like the way his teacher tought. So he self taught.

Yeah Jack White's music is awesome! I like that folk rock genre. I grew up in Mineral, we had bluegrass festivals, lots of live music. Then I'd go to Charlottesville they have a lot of folk rock bands. Downtown Richmond the same. You can find them, they're out there.

 

@Finn_McCool... can't rilly do most bluegrass.... just a lil'....Maybe. Now, Old Time ? Yup. Can Do That...like the street buskers....THAT Is Music.
Look up Blind Willie McTell (BIG influence on Jack).... he's all over Youtube (what isn't?)
