Some shameless self-promotion, an instrumental (with accompanying words, if that makes sense!) I released in December last year (which seems a lot longer ago now in some ways):

For the rest of the post, all of a theme... :)

Opening track from the fantastic recent solo album by James Dean Bradfield:

Beautiful piece from one of my fave albums:

A moderate hit, but a ridiculously underrated song IMHO:

I discovered Delerium in art school it put everyone in the mood to draw. I remember students in class asking who is that? Thanks for the memories. I eventually went out and bought the album. I usually put it on when I'm working on a watercolor piece.

    AN UNCLEAR HORIZON

HOPE AS A FADING SUNSET :D

NOISETTES needs to be optioned for a James Bond opening song.

I recommended Map of the Soul: Persona Extended play by BTS . I mean it follows the storyline of Love Yourself series where now the youth growing to young adult/adult. The message of the album is about finding happiness and love. I have listened to all the tracks so many times and fully understand each one of it. Since the start BTS always not afraid to try new things for their music and it shows in this album how versatile and creative they are. Language is not really a barrier to enjoy good music.

If you like syntethizers and pop music with that vibe of the 80's you should really give a chance to this duo from Canada called: Electric Youth.

I've been listening them since I heard them for the first time on the soundtrack of the movie Drive with Ryan Gosling.

They realesed two albuns so far: Innerworld (2014) and Memory Emotion (2019).

After a quick search, it appears that no one has yet mentioned Jean-Michel Jarre. The french Absolute King of electronic music.

    His discography is so huge.
if I had to pick one, I would just go for this one, for a particular reason :

Equinoxe, part 7 (7th track of the album called Equinoxe)
This track was released in 1978. Only 1 year after that movie The Star Wars, who will be renamed later A New Hope, that movie who changed definitely the face of movie industry.
What if Jean-Michel Jarre had been the chosen one for writing the score instead of John Williams... What would we have today, as a soundtrack for the complete 9'logy saga? :) :) (disclaimer: this is neither a complaint nor a moan - just a thought, dropped there)

This week/month's project has been interesting. In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you become the head-teacher of one of the titular houses and it determines whose story you follow, what units you start with, and ultimately the fate of the continent. There are many fans out there who desire a "Golden Route," where every character is recruitable and the lords of the game can team up. It's a "happily ever after" sort of thing. (Hilariously, the previous original Fire Emblem game, Fates, did this with it's story, and received mass criticism.*)

I've always been fond of the idea of "Silver Routes," where one extra lord joins your group towards the end of the game. I won't say how, but it'd be:

    Edelgard for Verdant Wind
    Dimitri for Crimson Flower
    Claude for Azure Moon

(I always receive flack for any choice OTHER than Claude, but I'd rather err on the side of awesome than be a slave to logical conclusions and the extreme exclusivity that comes with it.)

So this week I've been writing out how I imagine the supports would go. I finished Edelgard and Dimitri's and Dimitri and Claude's. Claude and Edelgard's will have to wait, however since I'm busy this week and a little burnt out after not being happy with how Dimitri and Claude's support turned out.

For me, the key to many creative projects is finding the perfect accompanying song. For my ST revision it was "Heartless" by The Weeknd, "Kings and Queens" by 30 Seconds to Mars, and "Savior" by Nothing's Carved In Stone.

    These supports are no different.

Feel Like Home really captures the bitterness that an Edelgard/Dimitri support would ultimately have. The lyrics also have some resonance as well.

A Different Way captures how Claude thinks and how Dimitri can be turned to think that way. The mood is hopeful and creative, and I think that's what the support needs.

No Judgment has a more romantic overtone than what I'm going for, but I also feel like it fits. The summer vibe has this laziness and openness that neither character really possess, but I can see them working towards that. I feel like I'd need another song for their A support, but I'll worry about that when I get there.

*And yet when I play Fates, that's the route I play almost exclusively because it allows me to recruit about 95% of the cast.

Good shout - i've long been a Jarre fan since my Dad owned Oxygene, Equinoxe and Zoolook LPs when I was a kid.

This was my discovery today... great album, but one listen and I've gotta go search out more music by Jorja Smith now!
