SPECULATION Pip Andersen's role in Ep 7 ....

Didn't he already film scenes in puzzlewood? Maybe their using motion capture on him for his athletic abilities, like a stunt person.

 

I have no idea anymore. I used to think Disney/LFL was going to continue the Skywalker legacy with a child (son or daughter) but now I'm thinking he doesn't have a kid at all. No Mara Jade. No family except for Han & Leia and their kid(s).

 

I am starting to reverse my opinion on Pip. At first I thought he would be a glorified stunt man but recently I can not shake the feeling there has to be more to it than that. A mystery the boy is.

 

the mystery actor/character is Gleeson, not Pip.

 

Everyone is playing Wookiees or Gungans.

 

I think every actor and actress in this movie is a mystery. Even the big three's motives are shrouded in secrecy.

Who do you think he is? I am still going with he is Luke's son who wants nothing to do with his heritage.

 

Freddie is just some random poster and Devin is Devin Faraci of Badass Digest

I like that idea that he could be Luke's son that rejects his heritage.

 

I think Gleeson is Luke's son who has fallen to the dark side and that is why Luke is in a self-imposed exile.

The fact that there are no rumors about Gleeson and how he refused to drop a hint in an interview says to me has to be something big and keeping his role secret is a big deal

my problem with this is with the rumors of evil Luke, if his son is also evil that would mean that all male Skywalkers have fallen to the dark side (become evil). Not a fan of this.

I don't think he will BA Digest (but not 100% sure) as he doesn't supposedly believe in spoiling Episode VII for the audience so something like Gleeson's role , which he has already said his role is massive spoiler, most likely won't go beyond teasing.

 

I think Gleeson was well on his way to becoming a powerful Jedi Knight but then after some kind of falling out with Luke he leaves his father. Then left alone Luke takes a young aristocrat that is strong in the force and trains him but dev

its defiantly out of left field but I do not hate the idea. However I would much rather see Luke become more like Kenobi than Vader.

 

The mo-cap could just be to add something to him. Say like, some cybernetic parts??? Maybe pip is the Cyborg in the rumors...

 

Just adding robot parts would be a waste of Andy Serkis' company helping out. They would more than likely be doing a full body mo-cap for an alien or droid or a deformed/near-human character like Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

 

I almost posted that as a joke. Based on the relatively late timing of the casting I don't think that is true.

Von Sydow is my favorite for cyborg, I can actually see Gleeson being one as well

 

at this rate all the male characters will become cyborgs.
