Please post pictures of your collection

Here are some pictures of the FO Transport I recently reviewed after adding around 200 additional parts to enhance detail and adjust some minor dimensional issues.

I lengthened the hull and engine assemblies by one stud each as the ship is a bit on the short side when compared to stills of the actual vehicle. I re-arranged the interior weapon rack layout and added some appropriate looking levers and gauges.

Mechanically, I extended the lever that operates the ramp so it's easier to use, I changed the geometry of the ramp itself to make it lock in the closed position more securely, and I used some 2x2 studded panels for better roof attachment

I've also added a bunch of light grey and dark grey smooth panels and vents to blend things together better and cover some studs. Lastly I beefed up the engine section with more grey blocks and panels, and some piping.

Here's a LEGO blast from the past. The 2005 Republic Gunship-

I always thought the ball turrets detracted from the overall look of the ship, so I ditched them and replaced the wing mounted ones with fixed forward firing cannons mounted on new wings. I also modified the big cannons up top, and added a bunch of studless plates to smooth out the studded areas. To finish things off, I added my usual display stand.

I like LEGO ships with interiors, and this one has a very complete interior with an opening nose, doors, and other panels that make the detail easy to see. The magnetically held "cargo pod" with gadget was a neat feature I kept.

 

Here are some shots of my holiday specific display- the Star Wars Christmas tree!!! What better way to count down the days til TFA than decorating an all SW tree?

Hi Guys,
You seem to have lots of knowledge on star wars memorabelia etc so I wonder if you can help.
I came across this article on fb which has Star wars home accessories etc. some have buy now links but some dont. There is a han solo in carbonite desk which I'd like to get for my brother for his birthday but I cant find it to buy anywhere. Has anyone seen one or kows where i might find one?
