    On the OT I am definitely Team Han lol. (On a separate thread I was just mentioning that if instead of TFA, we had just watched ANH our main speculation would be who would be Leia's romantic interest, if Han or Luke lol). :D

    so, now that we have seen the movie and got confirmation that this is indeed on Poe's helmet:
    WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MEAN?

    I mean, We know that transcribed it says RO(AE)HAL (the AE is one letter and since we have a letter like this in German I'd like to keep it together)
    But what does it means and why is it on his helmet?

    The three letters on his neck say POE btw.

    No info on that...
    I mean, Rey pulled it of some crashes X-Wing, but since the Republic won this battle you'd think they took the whole body for burial, you know?
    But if Captain Raeh was injured and they pulled of the helmet to treat them, they might have just left it.

    It isn't mentioned in any of the additional materials. (that I have read: Before the Awakening and the Novelization and the (final) type up of the script)

    So, if it was in the visual dictionary or something, would be awesome if someone could pitch in.

    Also Poe is commander of the X-Wing Squadrons of the Resistance, so if, they'd all use it.
    It has to mean 'something'

    I don't know if this question has been asked, but I keep replaying the Battle at Takadona in my head. I'm confident I've never seen X-Wing fire accuracy like that before in the canonical films. Are there any examples of this skill elsewhere in the SW universe (canon or not, movie or not)? Just wondering, because it was just wild how that battle went. Either they were really really really bad, or Poe is really really really good at a level I don't think I've ever seen before. Most of the aerial combats are depicted as dog fights, but Poe was basically in a shooting gallery putting on a clinic. It was incredible.
