    Of course there was.

I think Lucas's choice to shoot Episode II & III in Digital instead of Film made a difference when seeing the movies now on BluRay. TPM holds up visually alot better then AOTC & ROTS because of this. AOTC & ROTS look alot more cartoonish then TPM.

Huh I always thought The Phantom Menace stood out to me as feeling (visually) a little more like a real Star Wars film. I guess this is why. Plus, I am pretty sure they shot it with 35mm film, instead of digital. That link was extremely interesting to read - good find, OP!

Not at all. That is simply subjective perception. If you didn't know it was shot digitally you couldn't tell the difference.

Please pick out all the parts of TPM that were shot digitally.

Shooting on film is irrelevant. It's simply about the capture of images. If you look at images of what JJ's Trek films look like when he films them compared to what they look like in finished form the images are so remade afterwards that what they shoot and what they end up as is totally different.

you can tell the difference between digital and analog film, dude. it's not subjective, there are actual differences, both technical and aesthetic. not to say anything about any Star Wars film, mind you. just in general ;)
