Well that implies that Sabine was already born when Maul tookover the Night Watch. During the Clone Wars, Bo-Katan doesn't like a mummy.

No big deal here, as we aren't going to the surface of that planet. The Protector's base is on one of the moons, according to Sabine.

I really think Sabine is Bo-Katan's daughter. If you look closely at Sabine's helmet there is two eyes drawn right above the visor that looks like Owl eyes. Bo-Katan was the leader of the Nite Owls, a squad of mandalorian warriors who side with the Death Watch. We do not know what clan Bo-Katan is from.

Also, it makes sense that Bo would name her kid after her sister Satine.

But yea I really enjoyed this episode. Would like to see more of this stuff on Rebels.

There are a few potential reasons

1- in universe, maybe the mado's call their parents by their names.
2- out of universe, they didn't know the familial connection at that time. I remember seeing something early on that said Hera was Cham's niece.
3- out of universe, they knew but didn't want to spoil the connection in the young readers book. Although they confirmed it on a rebels recon, which is kinda weird.

There are two females in the scene besides Bo-Katan. One of them is Sabines mom. Rebel Recon mentioned she isn't related to Bo or her sister.

When did it mentioned that? Filoni says "i'd argue that her mom was in the room" and then we get a close up of Bo-katan.

When I heard her last name I immediatly began thinking of the knights of Ren. I was like finally a sequel trilogy tie in but apparently its Wren.

Maybe part of the KOR was training with Mandalorian Biunty Hunters and that could be a cool way to tie it in...

Weren't the Mandalorian Protector colors supposed to be green, red, and gold? Why do Mandos always seem to default to blue and gray? How are we supposed to differentiate between Deathwatch and the Protectors if they wear the same colors?

Anyway, yep, Mandalorians are still the coolest culture in the galaxy. Honor-bound gunslinger mercenaries. Awesome. :)

First time poster, my SWIV history, watched it with my dad at Indian Hills Cinerama, Omaha, I remember spending all afternoon in line as it wrapped multiple times around building.

My first reply/post concerns this...I thought Mandalorians were patterned after Pacific Islanders, but, Fenn Rau's look is definitely more Caucasian, if so, then this opens up many possibilities; such as Felicia's character being Mandalorian.

BTW: Loved this episode, more backstory on our hero's history and their peoples.

Points for Sabine being Bo-Katan's daughter:
    TCW tie-in
    Hinted at in Rebel's Report
Can help deepen and grow Sabine's character
    Her helmet design
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nite_Owls
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sabine_Wren (look under Early Life)

Points against Sabine being Bo-Katan's daughter:
Too much of a TCW tie-in
Filoni for the most part already said no (that doesn't mean things couldn't have changed between now and then, but with the info we have...)

    Welcome to the Cantina!

Mandalorians are basically just normal looking humans who come from the planet of Mandalore and its colonies who wear very distinct armor and have a reputation for being great warriors. So they most likely can come in any skin color, shape, or size as any other group of humans in the galaxy far, far away. I definitely enjoyed learning more about the Mandalorians, and Kanan and Sabine's back stories in this episode.

Could someone edit the episode number in my thread title, it should be 11 not 13, I'm watching it for the 26th time as we speak.

    Great episode. Loved it!

I'm also one of the poor, foolish lot who purchases my SW Rebels episodes through iTunes, and thus must acknowledge this episode as "S03E01". (As they don't want us to get too much value for our purchase of a "season pass".) ...but at least we're no longer getting them three weeks late, as we did previously!

Regardless- it was an excellent episode. –Maybe my favourite overall of the Rebels episodes to date.

They killed two rebel pilots and hurt Hera, But no lets still try and work with them. And don't kill any of them even though they're actively trying to gun us down. I'm starting to have some problems with Kanan, its like those two rebel pilots didn't even matter to him.
