    Actually, I'm not surprised that we wouldn't be seeing Luke use a light saber this time around, because I remember reading a couple years back where Mark Hamill was talking about his role in the new trilogy and was saying that he hopes he wouldn't have to wield a light saber again but would rather have Luke use the Force to throw things around, etc.

    That part is the least troublesome...if he uses force throws or pushes (or chokes! Like ROTJ!) that would be cool too...

    It's more than he basically never saw Han or Leia again. That's terrible.

    And if we don't follow up on KOR in this film, that's frustrating. (Hope it happens in 9)

    Force birds is just lame...

    Personally, I have a hard time passing judgment on these birds without a clue as to their purpose or utilization. Had we heard about them ahead of time, the Convorees would have probably garnered negative fan reaction. But I think most of us agree that they were a cool and mysterious addition to the Clone Wars and Rebels.

    We're all entitled to our opinion and to our first impressions. I'm not trying to negate that. But let's not outright decide right now whether something is good or not. Let's actually learn about it and see it in action. That's my approach, at least.

    Nowhere did it say force birds. The no Luke/Leia reunion is quite the contradiction. I don't believe it. I'd say Luke has a saber just doesn't use it much. I think Rey will be the one using it the most.

    Carrie's death may be the limiting factor in a Luke/Leia reunion. All of TLJ was filmed prior to her death so if they filmed a Luke/Leia reunion we will see it unless it gets cut in editing ( and possibly could be moved to IX). If one was not filmed and they were waiting for IX to do it we are probably s&/: out of luck and will not see one.

    Rumors from Reddit should be approached with utmost caution. They are so unlikely to be legit that they have their own thread (and do not fall under the normal rumors thread). However, it is sometimes fun to read what those people over at Reddit come up with. Sometimes they have original ideas.

    Depends on the part of the site you visit. That being said, I've seen plenty of 4Chan posters who are sick of that kind of sh*t clogging up their boards.

    Most of the time... No. But there have been accurate leaks posted there from time to time. This is not one of those leaks.

    The key reason that this is a forgery is that Luke has used his lightsaber after Endor at least twice - the first being his retrieval of the Force Trees (Shattered Empire) and the second being his encounter with Inferno Squadron (Battlefront II). So saying that he's never used his signature weapon in the years leading up to TFA and TLJ already ignores existing canon, which is something that Lucasfilm don't like to do.
