I liked this episode much better than the last.

I only have one minor quibble before I lay on the praise.

*The AT-AT pilot waves his arms like an idiot while running away.

    Things I liked

    * the lighting aboard the ghost
*the AT-AT vs tank fight. I liked that they mocked the 4 leg design. I don't know I realized how huge the AT-ATs were.
    *Rex reunites with Ashoka
    * Commander Constantine drops everything and flees because he thinks vader might want to talk to him.
    *full speed ahead!

It was a much better episode indeed and i share your opinion on many of the things to like. However, i have to say that i felt that Kannan was to quick to accept or in a sense trust the Clones, while almost forgiving them. Granted it was Erza that push him into doing what he did was great, also Rex treating Kananna in the way he did was great, in a sense to kinda of smooth things over.

As for the end of the episode, i think it was great but where was Wolf/Gregory? Also, are they with Rex or they stayed on the planet and is their walker dead and will they pick up the other one?

I would assume that where Rex goes, so go Wolf and Gregor.

I got the feeling, especially at the very end of the episode, that Kanan still has a ways to go before he doesn't feel like he has to second guess(even secretly) everything the Clones say and do. Filloni has even said as much(can't find where exactly right now, it's late...) and that during Season 2 we'd see plot points that revolve around this sticky spot between Kanan and the Clones.

Overall, I really liked the episode, especially where Rex and the other Clones do all they can to help Kanan and Ezra. It's obvious that the Clones love for the Jedi is not based on programming anymore, but on experience and trust.

I really liked this episode: the clones, Kanan and Ezra using the force, the team-up, mecha fight, the meeting between Rex and Ahsoka. Rex talking about Anakin and the use of Force theme made me misty-eyed. I wonder if Rex will find out about Anakin or if he will bite the dust before Ahsoka confirms what (I believe) she suspects. 'You got old' made me laugh. Very good episode. I am looking forward to the next. :)

This episode had a vibe more like TCW than any of the other Rebels episodes. I definitely like the direction it is going.

Loved this episode! The animation keeps getting better. Got a bit misty at the Rex/Ahsoka reunion. (at-at)

Those are two incredible points. The first didn't bother me so much, because it was sort of left over from the first one. Yeah he was too quick to accept the clones, but I felt like he mostly accepted them after the previous episode.

I have to believe that Rex brought his friends with him, but the only showed Rex with Ashoka to make it more poignant.

Good points all around, as for the comment that the Clones loved the Jedi, the Jedi were the Generals/Commanders and i think the Clones enjoyed working with Jedi as leaders in this latest episode. I think it is very telling, we saw what Rex stated about he never gave up on his Jedi and did all that he could do. It is just very telling, i dont think alot of people would or did pick up on that. But, i hope we see more from the Clones i really enjoyed their presents in this season so far.

Ive also wondered how long it has been for Ahoska to not have seen Rex and the others? I would assume they had met up after Order 66, but the way Rex stated to her that he is glad she made it, perhaps implying Order 66. Also, really enjoyed the Force using by both to fight against the Empire, which was really telling and the faith that Rex and the others had in the Jedi and their ability to ensure a positive victory outcome was really telling.

True indeed, lets hope we see more of the Clones and the Rebel Alliance using that of the Clones, they seem to be good assets and while they might be old, they still have alot in them in knowledge or otherwise. As for Kanan accepting of them, in this latest episode he really is not to sure and i am glad to see that came across but in the end he is acceptance of it, but also due to Erza but he doesn't realize what Kanan went through.

All Wolffe had to do was apologize and now everything's copacetic? That's lazy writing. If Wolffe had betrayed his clone commander in TCW he'd have been court-martialed.

The preview for the next episode shows all three clones in what looks like a room on a corellian corvette, I'm going to go with wolf and Gregor are with Rex.

I enjoyed it much more than the first part, but it still felt dodgy in some areas. Things of note:

    • Rex & the Jedi working together - I really liked the "just like old times" sentiment from Rex, when the jedi came swooping in to save the day in dramatic fashion. It felt like a good callback to TCW to transition to them working together in Rebels.
    • Hera and Chopper - I liked the (very) quiet beats with Hera and Chopper in the Ghost. A lot of people have diminished this as a way to "write her out of the plot" but I really liked the feel of them, because the pacing was so different than we usually see on a show like this, and allowed for a broader perspective of what was going on off world story-wise. It also felt very Star Wars to have to be fixing the ship in the middle of an operation.
    • The AT-AT vs ATT battle - I enjoyed this even more after watching Rebels Recon and hearing Filoni laugh when pointing out how slow the chase was, comparing it to old guys chasing each other with walkers.
    • Kallus vs the Clones - I enjoyed the hubris of Kallus, and that they really showed us the conflict between the old clone troops vs the new stormtrooper factions. I am glad to see something canon that bridges that transition
    • Imperial Escape - I actually didn't mind the arm-waving of the retreating storm trooper, but it felt too easy for them to get away in the wide open with no one following them. Way too 80's cartoon villain for me. I don't mind the kid-friendly nature of Rebels, but this seemed too glaring. When I watch it with my girls in a few days, I fully expect them to say "why don't they follow him in the Ghost and capture him?" Even if they waited and slowly picked up the clones first, they still could have caught up with the speeder crossing the huge open expanse of nothing...
    • The star destroyer being pulled away completely allowed the Rebels to escape capture...just so a new threat could come in to try to capture the Rebels...
    • why in the world were there not more TIE fighters involved in Kallus' plan?

Great points by both of you! Loved the episode, and my only complaint is that they should have just shown these two episodes back-to-back and then started the once-per-week format. @alex, the Rebels Recon report that comes up online afterwards actually pointed out that these AT-AT's were larger than the ESB ones.
