This while imaginative and perfectly possible still leaves every single plot hole wide open. I can't disprove a lot of what you have written except 1. Lor San Tekka was not on Jakku to look after Rey. Apparently this is explained in one of the Eu novels or comics, I can't remember which. It was specified in a different thread.

Leia at age 16 had a dead boyfriend in the Star Wars timeline and they chose two months ago to tell anybody about it in a book. Or that Luke and Han became pawns through a symbiote to a space queen life-sucking vampire in the Marvel comics in Screaming Citadel in between Episodes IV and V. Or that a Jyn Erso's love for her father was a part of the mission to retrieve and send the Death Star plans to the Alliance. And I'm sure there'll be some things about young Han Solo that people didn't know before it was released. Just like the comics currently are doing and the books.

I think this exercise is partially a study in who can navigate intentional blank spaces or ambiguity in the Star Wars timeline and storytelling and who cannot. They intentionally leave gaps and silence and ambiguity to be filled in later. It is by design.

Kiri Hart, head of the Lucasfilm Story Group: “Leia says to Obi-Wan [in Star Wars (1977)], ‘Years ago, you served my father in the clone wars’. I had no idea that was going to turn into a whole thing. You’re watching that and just thinking, ‘That sounds cool.’ It makes the history of the place feel real.” “There can be gaps in the timeline or biography of a character, and we track all these things, obviously. [But] it’s something the group cares about a lot. You don’t want to know everything. And when you do fill something in, it needs to feel worthy, surprising and exciting.” “Not every Star Wars story should be told, and not every gap should be filled. Star Wars is full of ellipses.” (December 12, 2016)

Princess Leia Royal Rebel: “It is for the years following the civil war that there is less data available about the princess of Alderaan. She is now, of course, a general of the Resistance. But it seems that many records of Leia’s life after her experience on Endor, such as her time as a young mother and as a New Republic leader, are missing. These records may have been lost when the First Order destroyed the system of Hosnian Prime. This lack of documentation has left anyone with a serious interest in Princess Leia Organa with no option but to speculate about many aspects of her life. [Image of General Leia brushing off a droid] General Organa is known to be a very private person. Despite numerous requests, she has not agreed to fill in any gaps left by the official record – and she gave but a few brief accounts to an archival droid. Out of respect for her privacy, this biography does not guess what adventures might be missing from the official New Republic records. We include only what is verified.”

Bloodline page 95/96, (thats why pages are cited), everyone can check it. and I presumed those who preach on Bloodline with their full loungs , have actually read the book and shoud have it available to check..
    ---------------------------------------------

From the start of the book Leia is depressive, in one moment she even cries .

and than , she talks to Han how they should be unitied again...than the pair exchange this:

    (her)..Someday."
    (him)..Someday."
" The words sounded Like a promise. But Leia couldn't make herself believe that day would ever really come.....and she knew Han couldn't either.
Someday was the Sun dissapearing behind a cloud, a morning lost to darkness long before nights should have come."
    .......................................................

This is 6 years before episode VII, in a time some claimed Han and Leia are still happily married. It is the time Ben is still Lukes' padawan, obviously sent to Luke because of crysis.

Profound unspeakable Solo family tragedy from the past was slowly eroding this family to the point of breaking.

That's definitely a tease for the Starkiller Base scene. As soon as the sun disappeared Kylo Ren killed Han Solo and he was lost to the dark side before the night even came.
Leia has seen the future. That's why she was sad. That's why she wanted to hear from Ben and Luke.

So there is no indication for Rey Solo here at all.

Again, pages and pages of great ideas and reasons why Rey would make a good Solo. And yet, once again, no attempt to deal with the glaring plot holes.

No one talks about her, is looking for her, recognises her or indeed sensed her death.

And @MagnarTheGreat, you always bring up that thing about info on Leia's history being vague and her being private: but isn't that because her true parentage has yet to be revealed and that Bloodline is about the Vader reveal?

The fact is, no matter what stories you guys come up with they never deal with the fact that in TFA the are several moments where Rey Solo should be talked about and recognised. She isn't. And if she is a Solo then these moments will become awfully contradictory and just very badly written. And unlike the reveal in ANH, this "twist" will be to the detriment to the first film. We won't be thinking "oh look at Rey with her daddy" or "oh she's fighting her brother". We will be wondering why he hell no one talks about her or recognises her! We'll be rueing the missed opportunity of an emotional reveal. We'll be depressed for Han who thought his daughter was dead and his only remaining child his executioner. We'll further question Han and Leia as decent people. And so on and so forth.

Rey Solo would be devastating in both its capacity to create huge plot holes and turn TFA into a badly written farce.

Probably one of highest wrong/rating ratios ever acheived on post. Congrats to you and who have given postives to your post.

Note Han knows this truth also.
So it can not be anything you said,Han is not Force sensitive but realist, jet Leia knows he shares despair she feels to,thus clearly talking about situation that obviously already has transpired and slowly destroys their family....

    ..............
But Leia couldn't make herself believe that day would ever really come.....and she knew Han couldn't either.
Someday was the Sun dissapearing behind a cloud, a morning lost to darkness long before nights should have come."
    ...........
repeating this ..during this,Ben is still Luke's padawan!IT should be OK,at least hope would be prospect, but IT isn't,why?

Because Something irretrievable has already happend!

But Leia sending Ben to Luke is what split up the family and probably caused Han to feel a lot of resentment. The tragedy began with having to send Ben to Luke in the first place - because he had "too much Vader in him". Leia even says to Han in TFA, that after she sent Ben away that is when "I lost you both". No mention of another tragedy, no need for one. Ben was a difficult teenager, Han & Leia weren't as united as they should've been, Leia sent Ben away and this pushed Han away.

Had there been another tragedy, like losing their daughter, wouldn't they have put this down as THE reason their son turned bad? Wouldn't they mention her in these two pivotal heart to hearts?

for those of you who are actually interested, the context of the "Someday" moment is Leia's regret that their careers and lives diverged as they did: that all her hopes and dreams of traveling the galaxy together didn't pan out. as @NinjaRen said, the reference to the shadow is just foreshadowing.

    Screen Shot 2017-11-13 at 10.18.43 AM.png Screen Shot 2017-11-13 at 10.18.50 AM.png

it even says here: "it was important to be honest."
about her work interfering with their lives, not about some past tragedy affecting them.

So @McDiarmid took the quote out of context and put his own spin on it to suit his theory? Shocker. :p
    --- Double Post Merged, Nov 13, 2017, Original Post Date: Nov 13, 2017 ---
The fact that Bloodline is in Leia's head so often and so deeply - to not have any mention of her dead or lost daughter really would be absurd and unthinkable. I can't imagine anyone would take the new canon seriously after that.

her fleeting, negligent thoughts of Ben were already enough to drive me around the bend.
add a missing or dead daughter to this and i'd have to chuck it all and go home ~ hahahaha

    We are slowly closing.
Leia has sent Ben to Luke because of crysis.
Han says they all needed to deal with(IT)in their own way.
Tragedy that has shaken all,and Ben was most vulnerable.

There is more, nobody notes, but Han couldn't bare to take one young girl to be o
In his racing tram..highlighted in Bloodline..why?.because maybe, she remembered him of someone?

Those who have read Bloodline, I would want to hear other opinions.

Just one question to the partisans of this theory: what will be your reaction if Rey is NOT the daughter of Leia next month ?

You will say they decided to change Rey's origins between TFA and TLJ ? Or that she will be revealed to be the sister of Ben in Episode 9 and the "conspiracy" will continue until December 2019 ?

The crisis was in Ben having to be sent away. As a father, I can tell you, that would be a crisis! And if there were some other circumstances, it would make sense to talk about this when explaining why he had to be sent away, no?

I'd like to read the full extract before commenting. Though I do know in Bloodline it is mentioned how he takes on a lot of young pilots because he wanted to, I believe the quote is something like, "teach them the same lessons he wanted to teach our son".

there's nothing else to post except what you quoted. that's how the scene ends (and it's not a quote from Leia):

    Screen Shot 2017-11-13 at 10.56.59 AM.png

Someday still refers to her and Han traveling the galaxy.
they have lost their opportunity because of Leia's dedication to her work.
    it's all there in black and sorta off-tan. : o p

Her work is just escape, just as Han's.
Your can't serriously think -Darkness that oveshadowed morning and such words are reference to her Job?Job has destructed their marriage? So she is guilty? I remember you once believed they are happily married in Bloodline. What happened?

that's not what it says. this is who she is and who she has always been.
nothing has changed with them from the start and that's what she's apologizing to him for.
