Plus in TFA's novel, when Han is telling Finn and Rey to get up from under the floor plating, his attention is focused on Rey and his demeanor was playful.

He playfully wanted to put Finn and his daughter in a pod and fire them to the next inhabited planet. No wonder Ben Solo turned to the dark side.

Yes, but fantasy/fictional stories often reflect and have themes of real life. It is the way that we as viewers can relate to them. There is no better theme to have viewers relate to them the idea that you don’t have to be privileged to become someone important or make a difference in the world. Especially when one of your prime audience is kids. Rey being random does this.

Also, Rey being random and ReyLo are two different topics. Rey Random does not = ReyLo. To infer that the only point of having Rey Random is so that ReyLo would be possible is being disingenuous. There are plenty of great stories that could be told with Rey Random.

Sooo Rey Random... still, I'll wait for the film(Rey SOLO). I won't believe anything the actors or actresses say, because they are trained not to spoil or like Mark always does steer you the wrong way, so you will enjoy the film when you see it( similar to what JJ Abrams did with Star Trek 2, lie, remember KHAN? allot of people didn't like that): KK had to stop Mark on his diatribe... hehe, at Star Wars celebration, and inform the audience that Luke is very integral to the story of TLJ, when he was going off on a tangent that Luke wasn't important, or you'll find out more in a book or comic (WHAT???)... KK stopped him because she was looking at the audience's dismay and cleaned up what Mark was saying. I love Mark and Luke thats why I bought The Legends of Luke Skywalker and I'm glad I did, I'm just shooting down anyone that actually thinks they'll find evidence that will support their theory from these interviews. Some actors slip like Domhnall Gleeson did, revealing the name of Death Star 3: SKB, but thats rare and after that Gleeson wasn't up for anymore interviews as I've read.

Lol. Even Luke jokes about her being a Solo!

Daisy put it beautifully in regards to what is important here - and she explains why Rey Random is essentially canon regardless of whether she is a Skywalker or not.
What I mean by that is that what is important is the relationships she makes, not her blood. So, as RJ described with Luke & Leia, the important part is the relationship they forge before finding out they're related. And with Rey, the plot, story and messages being presented are anchored around her forming relationships rather than who she actually is. And thus the only point in making her a Skywalker is...well, there isn't one at the moment other than it pleasing some of the fanbase. You have to remember, Leia wasn't made Luke's brother because of some important, trilogy sweeping idea. It was because Lucas needed a reason for Luke to get mad at Vader. The only thing that worked would be this idea that Vader could turn Leia to the Dark Side (so she needed the Skywalker force power - she needed to be "the other").

So unless something has been written in that makes it vital for Rey to have the Skywalker power (and I'm happy to admit there could be something), her being a Skywalker doesn't really have any importance and thus far hasn't been shown to be important. Where as her being a "no one" has worked side by the side with the themes presented in TFA.

Rey is Skywalker bloodline no doubt,

They doge it by making blood relation unimportant.

Mumbo jumbo, she is family with everyone,, Finn, Luke, Han, everyone she meets... did she mentioned BB-8 is her family also now , not sure.....

and imagine that cute familly of porgs awaiting for our Rey....

    hahaha.

Isn't that the point of this ST? Becoming a family. There you have your answer. She found her family in Finn, Han, Leia, Poe, Luke, BB8 and soon in Ben. ;D That's much better than revealing her as a Skywalker/Solo/Kenobi etc.

Daisy Ridley claimed Rey was an ordinary character (like Padme or Han) before TFA came out while they were trying to present it like Finn was the not ordinary character.

Daisy Ridley: “And the word ‘heroine’ keeps getting mentioned, which I don’t agree with. When JJ and I talked about this, he said: ‘She’s an ordinary girl, in extraordinary circumstances.” (Glamour UK magazine January 2016 – interview date September 2015)

Daisy Ridley: "[Rey is] just an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances." (January 1, 2016)

Daisy Ridley: “[Rey]’s an ordinary girl who finds herself in extraordinary situations.” (unknown date)

    Look my friends.

All of ReyLo randomers, and my true family,Skwalkers camp.;)

I analysed psychology of interview above.

Read my lips,Rey is Luke's daughter or Han's.No other options left.

However we should take notion of wider family said by Daisy and Mike as an obligation to not mobb anyone for its lack of vision after the film.

    My oath.So enjoy the film.

BTW what does it mean "mysterious connection " between Rey and Kylo if Rey is random?

How can Rey be connected, and random in the same time.?

    Connection excludes randomness.

    lol....

I was reading TFA's Visual Dictionary last night and on Leia's page, I was having a good look at her ring and noticed the pattern clearly looks like a DNA strand. So, a DNA strand with a small stone at each end. Either that refers to Luke and Leia being of the same DNA or Ren and Rey, perhaps?

    Might not be anything.

Yeah, you're right. The connection between a brother and a sister is perhaps the most "mysterious" and "strangest" of them all.

    Wait, what's that?

They share parents, you say? And DNA?

Holy poop. Super mysterious indeed! :O

C'mon, lad. Let's be real here. Having them be siblings would be the most tired re-tread of all of the OT and Jacen and Jaina. They're promising us something "unexpected" not crappy S Canon fanfiction.

I analysed some sources and have come to the conclusion that Rey is both Luke and Han's daughter.
