    Luke saw potential in Ben and it went belly up. Be silly if he sees potential in Rey and it goes the same way. It would be really great if Rey proves to him that she is just is wanted for the galaxy.

    It's not the same scene.

    I'm not saying Ben won't offer to help Rey at some point. Similar to Dooku/Kenobi in II, and Vader/Luke in V. But that two shots are spliced.

    I'm starting to wonder if they leave this Rey question unanswered, until 9. Think of how much attention, speculation, and visibility it gave to the franchise between episodes. It's been like free advertising.

    I hope not.. but there's a chance.

    I think that is highly unlikely. If we go through another SW film where no one recognises her, no one speaks of lost Solo child etc, then really we have to conclude that no such person exists and Rey is not of that bloodline.

    We hear Rey saying “something inside me has always been there, but now it’s awake and I need help,”

    First of all it confirms her power is inherited by her ancestry, always been in her but awaken.

    Second it’s clear she’s feeling it now even more than she was before, and Luke is obviously shocked by her power in a way that actually makes him concerned, and he suggests that he’s only felt that kind of power when he was training his nephew.

    What makes this most interesting is that, while Snoke and Luke both use the term “raw” here,
    Snoke craves that power while Luke is “scared” by it.

    Ren and Rey are unique in that they both have a uniquely raw strength.

    I'd hate for another big cliffhanger like TFA, but...
    It might be kind of cool, with TFA leaving us wondering how Luke will accept Rey's outstretched hand and TLJ leaving us wondering how Rey will accept Ren's.
