    Interesting. I honestly think they didn't have an idea on what story they wanted to tell in the ST and it seems like Rian didn't really collaborate with JJ since he was writing 8 during the filming of 7 and the fan theories of Snoke wasn't around at the time. I just seems like it was lack communication between everyone.

    I agree, it certainly doesn't seem like they had any clue where the story was going and just made it up as they went along.
