How do you feel about the direction RJ seems to be going with TLJ

  1. I generally prefer unexpected plot developements over playing it save like TFA did

  2. I think that RJ should leave the old characters untouched and focus on the new characters

  3. I am afraid that RJ might change the SW formula too much and estrange audiences with his take on TLJ

  4. I think that the story might be unexpected but audiences will ultimately start to like it

  5. I am absolutely confident in RJ's talent as a director to make a great movie

Y is everyone praising RJ like he's the second coming? U can count the number of full length movies he did on a single hand. 1 of his films bombed just as badly as CT's TBOH.

Already i c conflict w/ TFA. The FO already had a assault walker that was a new design. So what did RJ do? Scraps the design & makes his own. Luke is on this tiny island at the end of TFA. It looks deserted (as it should be). So wut did RJ do? He makes a colony of nuns & Porgs on this tiny island. Changing Snoke's appearance & KR's scar.....

What's next? Chewbacca suddenly speaks Basic? It's clear 2 me now that RJ will rather put his own untraditional stamp on SW then sticking w/ the basics.

THIS IS Y U DON'T LET FANBOYS DIRECT MOVIES. For instance i love Trek alot. But if u put me in charge, all the females will be/look under 26 & wear catsuits like T'Pol. (Y was she the only female Vulcan dressed like dat anyway?)

The only good thing about JJ coming back is he'll most likely get rid if all this third way Force side & return to the Light & Dark.

I am not interested in seeing Luke get dismantled. He is a hero and if anyone is going to ruin that, I would rather not watch the movie.

I will be ok with a Luke who is so powerful that he hid himself on the Island as a way to refuse to kill his own Nephew. He could also refuse to train Rey unless she agree to never kill Kylo Ren.

Luke may realize Kylo could not be changed to the lite and decided it would not be he who kills or causes his own nephews death.

Refusal to kill his own nephew under any circumstance is the only acceptable weakness of Luke Skywalker. Keep your movie if you make Luke a loser.

WTM are you talking about? Or What the Mustafar are you thinking. No way in Mustafar does Disney allow Luke to Force joke Rey. Come in now. Luke grumpy, but he's not Force choking her.

Luke refusing to destroy his nephew based on silly pride would make him a coward, especially when that nephew goes on to kill who knows how many. I guess it'd mean he was the same guy who refused to kill his dad to force him back to light, only difference is it worked then. Thus time the first order killed three plants with a bigger Death Star.

My only wish is to see Luke have a proper lightsaber fight and use his fully grown Force abilities... Other than that, I'm open to everything, bring it on!

After thinking about this some more, I am leaning toward the surprise strictly involving the fate of the Jedi and what Luke's plan is to fix things. Rey learning of her parents helps tie up loose ends, and gives the heroine a reason to move forward, but it seems the surprise is going to be at the end of the movie. Everyone is expecting an ESB and I think Rian is going to completely change that and give us something we'd never expect.
