Yeahhh, that bothered me too. I thought wedge was about 30 in ANH. But then I saw in the wookieepedia that he was born 21 years before the Battle of Yavin in the legends.

They introduced Zare and his sister drama and this story was told in a young novel or whatever. That's boring.

In my case I think he was like in the middle between Han and Luke - older than Luke but younger than Han. But hey, being a Rebel can take a toll on your appearance lol.

That's exactly what I thought, older than Luke but younger than Han. I guess that's a hard work :D

Lawson was 30, not sure why canon pegged Wedge as 21, but then again Hamill played 19 year old but was 26. Movies play fast and loose with ages.

It's not the same character. Zare Leonis is not RAKE who died in the episode.

It seems to me that new toon version looks (maybe) a wee bit like Denis Lawson, but a good measure *more* like Colin Higgins... (aka- the "other Wedge"– used during a point of filming that Lawson was unavailable.)

Good point - same intel to both sides.
This can mean only one thing - invasion! that the Rebels are being played. Thrawn will be all over his internal security and he's indicated his plan to cast a wide net. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we find Kallus caught in it.

    Yeah

I know that. I just remembered Zare and my point is: Zare and his sister story could've been shown in the series but they did in a book. The comment was a bit out of place.

Reminds me of Gallius Rax in Life Debt.

I'm starting to feel like a new, returning character is introduced every week on Rebels. Can't wait to see Aunt Beru dancing at Jabba's Palace to make ends meet while the moisture farm is in trouble!

Speaking of references to the old Kenner toys, upon my rewatch tonight I noticed when the TIE bomber gets hit during the escape scene, the hits look just like the battle damage stickers on the old toys!

I'm late to the party as I recently got power back and I'm still without cable so I did not see the episode until I was at my mother in-laws house the other night. I really liked the episode. It wasn't as good as the first two but I was very satisfied with it. Sabine is becoming one of my favorite Rebels characters and I look forward to getting more from her. Wedge has always been a cool side character and it great to see him getting more attention in the books and now Rebels. I have to admit I missed the Hobbie reference when I first saw it but then last night I picked up on it when I was watching the ESB. I'm impressed with the attention to detail of Lucasfilm and the story group by bringing in a character who is only briefly mentioned in one movie. Just that move helps tie everything together as one big story. Big props to them.

This episode did not work for me, which is a shame because I was rather enjoying Season 3 thus far.

The crux of my complaint was Wedge. I'm not too judgmental over the fact that the cartoon guy didn't look like the actor. What I am more disappointed with is the fact that Wedge was an Imperial for a time. Say what? Wouldn't the Rebel Alliance have used Wedge's intel more often, particularly in Episode VI when they steal an Imperial shuttle? Instead of having Han pilot the thing, they would have used Wedge since he was familiar with Imperial ships and control panels.

Actually it's pretty common for Rebel Pilots to initially be trained by the Empire, just like Biggs Darklighter. As for Intel, any prior Imperial in the Alliance would be somewhat helpful in that regard, but only in very specific situations related to their service. Only higher ups or those working in Intelligence would have a lot to contribute.

As for Han piloting the Imperial Shuttle. Don't count out his knowledgebase when it comes to things like that. After all, in ESB he certainly knows a thing or two about Imperial protocol. In fact, in Legends he served the Empire for a time as well. For all we know, they could end up keeping some of that in the new Canon.

Also, let's not forget. Wedge is one of the greatest pilots in the Rebellion. He is needed much more in his Starfighter than piloting a shuttle.
