Should Disney make a TIE squadron movie?

    Well, this may be wishful thinking, but I think Disney should make a star wars movie about a TIE fighter squadron. I guess it's obvious that I'm a TIE fan so perhaps I'm merely fantasizing here but I think it would be an original perspective for a star wars film to based solely on Imperial/First Order pilots who view the Rebels or The Resistance as villains. It does make sense that if Disney was to in fact green light a star wars film about fighter pilots, they would do it about the good guys Rebellion/Resistance before even considering a film about a TIE pilots. With the blurring of the lines between the light and the dark in The Last Jedi, I think a film about the humanity and idiosyncrasies of Imperials and not just the "dogmatic" view of them as "bad guys" would fall in line quite nicely.

    Oh for sure. I just saw that piece last month and I thought it was really well done.

    Young kid with an unhealthy home life runs away from home to go and join the Empire develops a relationship with his/her fellow recruits. Rivalries form. We see the perspective in which the rebellion is presented to them. The Empirial harshness of their training to become pilots. Of course about 99% more fleshed out.

    There were rumblings about a year ago that an adaptation of Lost Stars could be the third spinoff film. I think that rumor's squashed now, but I'd still totally be down for that to be the case.

    A film would be good sort of like TOP GUN but with Tie Fighters.

    But a mini series would be even better. That way you could follow the development of a group of pilots from Raw Recruits to ther first mission.

    This could also work for Rebellion/Resistance pilots.

    This is kind of concept should be relegated to the books, like in WH40k where everyone and everything has it's own book or at least a short story.

    I have been proposing that Disney do a Rogue Squadron-type movie. I think there is enough there for them to make a really good elite starfighter movie. If anything, would love to see Disney bring back Wedge! I miss him

    I like the miniseries idea of this. Maybe a better version of Marvel's Daredevil/Iron Fist/Jessica Jones/Luke Cage/Defenders. Make it so you have a miniseries of a TIE pilot, then one of an x-wing pilot, then a Stormtrooper ect... until you can form a spacialized, multi talented force like Wraith Squadron. Of course the TIE pilot would have to see the error of his/her ways, but maybe still have some leanings toward that kind of thinking.

    I want it to be a Lost Stars movie.
    Some people wants to rescue Ciena Ree.
    Then they fail.
    Every single one of them die. Including Ciena.
    This causes Thane to betray the Rebellion. Launching the FO.
    He's also the old guy behind Hux in TFA.
