SOLO could have many "firsts"

Hm, I thought Pablo alluded it might have been personalised by Lando in response to the "issue" of continuity between Solo and Falcon's RotS cameo.

 

Well, that's for sure. The question is whether Han already had it (Beckett tosses it back) or that's how Han gets it. Probably the latter.

 

Highly unlikely in my opinion. The force is still a "religion" of sorts in the galaxy and normal people can still say "May the force be with you" I suspect that the line will be in the movie and will be used as a way to show that Han isn't a believer. Also Maz could always cameo and she is a force user.

 

Even if its sarcastic like having Lando say "You're gonna need the force on your side to beat me" during the Sabacc game. That would also be a funny place to reference TFA by having Han smuggly say "That's not how the force works."

 

I also think the Force will be mentioned. Maybe it'll explain Han's attitude towards it in ANH. At least to some extent.

 

Um Vader in R1 doesn't count? Your at least right in that they're were no jedi. However, Jedha was there. So, splitting hairs I guess. Seeing the Falcon clean, for a change is nice. Darn you, Han!

No, he didn't. He just attacked and sliced with his saber. Vader doesn't need to show his skills. Twirling is just for someone who wants to be cocky. Haha!

1. I'm interested in what John Powell will bring to the film. I don't think traditional orchestra is a requirement for Star Wars, but it is certainly John Williams forte. I've always enjoyed composers like Bear McCreary who brings in new interesting sounds/instruments to the table. I hope they look at him for the Star Wars Live Action Series.

2. I think we may see a Lightsaber in Dryden Vos' collection. Thats it. It won't be ignited. Han might look at it. No Jedi, No Sith. A Mention of Jedi perhaps.

3. It will start in space...my chance cube will land on blue that's how confident i am. No Jedi cheatery needed.

4. I dont think we will see them. I hope we don't (eventhough i love them).

5. It will be nice to see.

6. I may be more excited for this than almost anything else.

7. With the new Pablo Tweet, it may appear that Lando's ship is actually even more modified than we see it in ANH, that Han may actually have restored it to its former "glory". Even so, the Falcon's appearance doesn't mean much to me. I'm not that invested in it as a "character" like some fans.

 

I'm wondering if the speculation on the sand and snow planets being the same means that we'll see the first Star Wars film with a planet that features two vastly different ecosystems (I know technically Naboo had some varied biomes, but we don't really see that reflected in the film itself).

Aren't Han, Chewie and the Empire a narrative connection to the saga?

 

Maybe a poor choice of words. I mean story wise, plot, there looks to be no connection.

All the other films of the Saga plus Rogue One have fairly significant story, plot links, Solo appears to be completely separate aside from background on characters we know.

If they include Solo dumping Jabba's shipment which leads into the Han/Jabba price on his head plot line then you'd have a saga plot link but I'm not expecting this.
