OFFICIAL NEWS Special 'The Force Awakens' Preview to Air Thursday on ABC

Up until now, I never realized we haven't gotten an actual clip.

 

Whats this?

 

I am torn to be honest. On one hand I want as much TFA as I can get - but, at the same time, I really want to be surprised and amazed on 17th December...

 

I hope we get to see something like this:

 

I am not going to watch it. I have seen enough footage for now.

 

I wonder if this is going to be anything like the "60 minutes" special they did on TPM back in the day. It was the first time we got any kind of clue on the final duel sequence between Darth Maul versus Qui-gon and Obi-wan. I think even the Duel of Fates was intro at that point. I do not think we have heard any new music from the film yet, that would be the last little sample I could see myself partaking in if that is the case.

 

Yeah i remember unfortunately . Go back to the beginning of Oct and 99% where discussion on how much JJ/KK/Disney and their marketing strategy sucked.Lucky for me there where still some fun cool people left that was digging up info or discussing TFA details that i could play with. I would have gone insane otherwise.


Can't wait for the abc TFA preview !!!! Here we go!!

Seriously, I am down for as much new footage as possible. Bring it on! They've reused a lot of shots in the trailers, anyway....

This is slightly unrelated, but this is a pretty great documentary, too!

 

I think it'll be some behind the scenes stuff with little interview with maybe some clip. They have three shows so each group might showcase a character. Finn, Rey and either Kylo or Poe.

EW seems to have some stuff coming tomorrow too.

 

Based solely on the timing, it's possible that tomorrow Breznican is getting to attend a press preview of the Star Wars attractions that are opening to the public on Monday in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. I know they're doing previews this week, so it would make sense. I'm planning to be there on Monday to check out all the new stuff when it opens to the public.

 

You get a national holiday? Here in Australia we just observe a minute silence... probably because of our main "remembrance day," ANZAC day on the 25th of April. This year actually marked the 100 year anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealander troops during the failed Gallipoli campaign that the British commanders messed up.


Back to the topic at hand, I'll gladly take a behind the scenes video...
But from the sounds of things, it will be a few short segments taking place during regular programming (Greys Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder).





It will certainly be interesting to see what they've cooked up for this thing.

Do only school kids get off? Because my friends who work for other companies don't get the day off.

 

I think we're going to get a scene from the movie.

 

I'd harbor a guess of a scene between Han and Finn. I say this based off of our information of Finn, and of Han, and Harrison's contract...Finn is a clown, much like his real life, and he is a nice guy and has fun interactions with Han Solo, and we see a quick glimpse of this...most likely on Jakkku, if i had to harbor a guess.

 

I would love some more Poe. ​
