*NEWS FLASH* Star Wars dialogue is "cheesy" shocker!

 

Not sure what you are trying to say.

If you are making fun of what I say it's ok, but if you actually feel that the dialogue of a SW movie has to be cheesy or filled with silly one liners, then I completely disagree, but it's still ok...

Again, I am not saying that this will be a problem in the movie, maybe the trailers are just made this way or maybe it's just my perception and my eagerness to see a good movie.

 

I just figured out that the shot in the trailer where Kylo extends his hand supposedly at Rey is the same shot in the tv spot when Rey says", Kylo failed you, I won't." Same lighting.

So do we think sweaty Poe and Finn are giving their pep speeches at the same location. Connix (Billie Lourd) is there in the background.

POE: We are the spark that'll light the fire that'll bring the First Order down.
FINN: I was raised to fight. For the first time I had something to fight for.

 

Why's it that some of the TV spots are being uploaded onto the official Star Wars youtube channel but others are not?

 

Maybe they don't have much new footage in them or relying on the subscribers to upload at their discretion.

 

As of now, the "Kylo failed you" tv spot is my favorite.

Finn: Rey!
Poe: Finn! You must have a thousand questions.
Finn: Where's Rey?
Rey: Something inside me is awake. I need help.

Bang goes the theory of Finn with amnesia.

 

I noticed that too. I mentioned it in one of the threads. Maybe the one specifically for that tv spot. I don’t remember now. Great minds must think alike.

 

And then he woke up in the friendzone

 

Honestly, you can't judge the dialogue by the trailers. First of all, you don't know what is going to end up in the final cut of the film. Secondly, they are often out of context. Reserve judgement until you see the full film.

Having said that, as someone else already noted, Star Wars tends to have cheesy dialogue. Just roll with it dude.

 

a smart girl won't friendzoned a guy when he is unconscious. He won't remember he is being friendzoned once woke up. A smart girl, will not Kiss on the lips an unconscious guy she just met , even if she liked him and probably because it's too soon to consider him as a lover material. Especially when there is some much things going on . And a smart girl won't fall in love with a guy after she witnessed him murder his own father.

And I think Rey is smart.

I'm sorry, but it's not the same shot. Kylo is at a different location. You can tell that by looking at the background. It also doesn't make any sense timing wise. Rey is wearing her TFA costume and Kylo has a healed scar. Furthermore why should Rey say "Kylo failed you, I won't." if Kylo is in the same "room"?
Yes, Kylo will reach our for Rey, but it's not during this scene. Unless it's a vision.

Or do you meant something completely different? Haha!
