    Was that on GMA? I had it on from 715-840 central time and nothing. I saw a tweet that said 820AM I assumed that was Eastern Time. Is GMA tape delayed for other time zones?

    I'm a big fan of JJ's style, perfect choice for modern Star Wars and i'm optimistic for the movie.. but why does this clip have to tell us the same thing a million times?

    • Stormtrooper launches off bike and flies
    • Another one is shown flying off a bike
    • Threepio tells us the stormtroopers are flying
    • Finn tells us they are flying
    • Poe then looks right at the camera, and tells us they are flying

    All in like.. 15 seconds. Yes, we the audience have eyeballs.. we can see they are flying. They may as well say: "Guys look away from your iPhones! This is the cool part!"

    Edit: Another thing, Finn wasn't aware there were jetpack troopers.. despite being an ex-stormtrooper? :confused:

    For comedic effect? Maybe?

    Granted, not all attempts at comedy in Star Wars movies hit the right note (I am looking at you and your "poo doo" jokes Jar Jar), but I felt like JJ actually captured the original trilogy's comedic tone well in TFA. I have every confidence he can do so again in TRoS...

    Comedy's great when it's done well, but to me this was too cheesy and lowball compared to the little comedic moments in A New Hope and Empire. I really didn't like the Marvelish humor in TLJ.

    Despite my worries, JJ is the best director for the job. I kinda blame this dialogue on Chris Tarrio as it's similar to a certain moment in Batman V Superman (worst movie ever made)

    What is marvelish comedy? To me it is pop-culture references and things like making fun of Captain American and swear words. Maybe 1977 era comedy is slightly different then 2019 comedy. To be bothered by they can fly now is well nit picky at the worst. How is it different then Han's conversation when they are rescuing Leia?

    The goofy conversation Han has with whoever lasts nearly 30 seconds. The delivery of the they fly lines is less then 5 seconds. I have to say if you are bothered by it you are looking for something to be bothered by. Why would you do that to yourself?

    So if I have any issue with anything in this movie, then I MUST be looking for something to criticize for the sake of it.. because i'm a masochist? :rolleyes:

    It just isn't good, and Kasdan/JJ's humor in TFA was better than this overall.. in my opinion.
