You've just made a very wise comment. There are really only 2 answers to this that I can think of (there are probably more).

1) Luke is a Cyborg
Now that we've all got that one off our chests ;-)

2) To have the robotic hand move maybe they needed a longer prop and the "arm" is actually just some levers that moves the hand.

 

Two different TIEs.
The ones chasing the Falcon on Jakku are similar to the regular TIEs from the OT. The one in the hangar is the souped-up version with a gun turret on the bottom. Finn would be manning the guns while Poe is in the pilot position.

I'd expect a bit of banter along the lines of Han and Luke's exchanges while gunning down the TIEs in ANH... only they won't have to shout as loud...

 

So when do we think the next trailer will come out? I know it will be a while yet, but are we just expecting a full trailer in the autumn and that's it - or will there be another one before that? What would be the normal process for a film coming out at Christmas?

 

I suppose it's hard to judge, because the climate is always changing.
On the one hand, you could look at trends and decide what is the standard pattern for things like this... on the other hand they are trying to market a film at the end of the day, and part of that is to make that marketing stand out and be unique, so there are factors that may make them create their own "pattern".
If you get what I mean.

Now Celebration is out of the way, I think they need to turn their attentions to something different - release some official TFA stills on the website or something.
May 4th is hot on the heels of this teaser, but you cant help thinking it would be nice for them to do *something* for the fans to mark that date.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was another teaser of some description, but a full trailer some time later in the summer would be the more logical choice.
Like I said, I think there are other areas of marketing they seem to have totally ignored so far that they need to focus on soon, given this is a Star Wars movie. Hell, the only official images we have seen have been stills from the trailers and a handful of cryptic BTS Twitter pics.

So the Nazi stormtrooper scene has me combining a few thoughts. First of all, the recent casting releases have a Sith General in them:

I think that this Sith General may be in charge of other Sith (or inquisitors) and that is who could be on stage with the chrome trooper. The center figure doesnt necessarily have to be a super important character but maybe like Tarkin was in ANH or Mon Mothma was in ROTJ. More a figurehead than anything else. Just my two cents

Did you not see the prop model of it from Celebration? It's nkt Luke's in any possible way.

I dont know man... remember ESB when they show us his new hand and the wrist was also mechanical?, unfortunately they show us in this trailer the hand and the wrist only and the shirt isn't that loose as the jedi clothing of the PT. So really I wouldn't say Luke is a cyborg but I'm really confused about mechanical arms and hands in TFA! I had enough about mechanical hands ZOOM IN and compare them lol

Quick question: Does Luke still have his ROTJ green lightsaber? He threw it aside, gets electrocuted, then escaped with Vader and I don't remember seeing the lightsaber on him for the rest of the movie.

 

Luke has his green lightsaber in his belt during the celebration scene, so he must have picked it up off camera at some point.

Um.... I didn't get that... I answered a question on whether Luke retained his Lightsaber post throwing it asside when defying the Emperor in RotJ. I don't understand what your asking in conjunction with my quote...
