    It was a lot of fun to review all the stunning pictures in this thread.

    One of the aspects of The Mandalorian that excites me about the future of filmmaking is The Volume, the technology that can put our heroes in some absolutely breathtaking landscapes without spending millions of dollars in on-location shooting. One example from this past season was Howard's ocean world locale. The setting made viewers feel like they were in the middle of a seaport.

    As the technology continues to improve, one can only imagine the breathtaking scenes we'll be seeing in the not-so-distant future.

    I do hope this forces Disney to re-think their CGI strategy. Up till now, they have down-talked the usage of digital technology in the Sequel Trilogy and shows, in order to appease fanboys who felt wronged with George’s prequels. I wish they can just fully embrace it like how Marvel does in their films; as much as I dislike Marvel, I will admit that the films are visually stunning and immersive in CG environments in ways Lucas would have only dreamed back in 1999.
