    Everyone is going BIG on Avatar, is this the WAY? haha... Film pundits say, Avatar made muni along the WAY. Avatar's opening box office weekend was a mere 77 million, it made its large box office take as the weeks (and years progressed with re-releases) went on, through word of mouth.

    Everyone knows what Avatar is NOW after 13 years, and Cameron never fails, so it might be a bombshell of a weekend? RIGHT???

    My original prediction was 110 million, but I'll see how wrong I really was... this will be an interesting week at the box office indeed, film pundits get it wrong too... most of the time. ;)

    we could do that… so the multiplier is based on whatever position you are in the table - so in 6th = 6 x and in first = 1 x, yeah? :D

    John Campea was the pundit who said, Avatar only made 77m opening weekend and over the weeks became this huge monster (paraphrasing of course) So after 13 years it made much more with 134m opening for Avatar 2.

    Still, it wasn't what we expected. I thought with all the marketing, and word of month, that it would exceed expectations...

    I think in the long run, as more people go to the theaters, it will make a billion, maybe even passing 2 billion, who knows... only time will tell.

    Anyway heres Randolph's take, Campea and Randolph don't get along, they had issues in the past, so I enjoy hearing opposing views... sometime they do agree on things.

    I think Avatar: the way of water is a good film. I'll watch it again when it hits Disney+. 3hours and 12 minutes didn't bother me, but I'd have to make time to go out and see it again.

    Now I'm wondering if Avatar 3-5 will have legs? You should alway bet on Cameron, but again only time will tell.

    Yep, we all sailed well over the mark for Cameron's return - which debuted short of expectations - but if it has the (sea)legs of it's predecessor will be lingering at the top of the box office for weeks to come. The question is can it beat this year's Top Gun: Maverick?

    In game, the table topping trio were duking it out again, with Rogues continuing to close the gap on The Senate, while ace TIE pilot @Addi Ras is gunning for the Trooper in 4th

    Hi folks… sorry there’s been no update this week. Mrs LD has gone down with the dread Covid again and I’ve been on maximum parenting duty, so not really been visible here.

    Mira a little late in the day to post films for this weekend now, so once we’ve got this weekend out of the way we’re gonna go for one last bumper blow out for New Year weekend to wrap this year’s game.
