SPECULATION The Children of the Force

    This thread is based on the ideas/leaks/spoilers that

    - Rey is left by her parents on Jakku.
    -Kylo Ren is Luke's son.
    -Plagueis is Snoke and he was directly involved with the creation of Anakin Skywalker.


    Luke is married. Potentially to Mara Jade as there are sources suggesting an action figure of her has been made.
    They had two children. Twins. Kylo and Rey.
    Snoke, in order to fulfill his plans of controlling the galaxy, sought a person as powerful as Anakin Skywalker. He knows Luke cannot be converted however and so must be destroyed. But he also discovers that Luke has had children. Rather than attempt to create another being (a risky business) he seeks to corrupt the children of Skywalker. His 'grandkids'.

    Luke finds out about his plans and before setting off on the mission to destroy Snoke he and Mara plan to hide the kids for a short period. They leave Rey on Jakku in the care of 'The Vicar' (an ally of Luke perhaps from the Battle of Jakku) but whilst trying to hide Kylo on the Skellig Island Snoke appears. Kills Mara, takes Kylo and Luke is marooned/left for dead/presumed dead.

    Fast forward several years.

    Rey is stuck on Jakku, still awaiting the return of her parents.
    Kylo has been raised by Snoke - believes he 'is immune to the light' (because of his heritage and being brainwashed) and is the FO's and Snoke's prized soldier. He is to Snoke what Anakin should've been to Palpatine.

    The Force awakens and an old item belonging to Luke Skywalker ends up in his daughters hands - sending her on the mission to find her father, become a Jedi and destroy the threat that has plagued her family and the Galaxy for decades...

    This thread will cause an absolute blast storm, but I like the theory and believe Rey and Kylo are Luke's kids.

    I do not believe in Luke having kids at all if he went down the road Obi did.

    Aren't there already action figures of Mara Jade?

    I think Rey and Kylo are siblings hence the skywalker twins 2.0.

    I like the theory. But it doesn't seem any different from all the theories that have been already threaded.

    He is Anakin Mark II. The only difference will be that he has been turned/brainwashed at an early age, which is why he claims to be "immune to the light". Whereas Anakin reached adulthood before he succumbed to the Dark Side.

    I like the idea of Rey being Luke's daughter. I more sold on the idea of Kylo being sKYwalker SOlo. Throw in the apparent filming scene of Adam Driver at the resistance base. I think Han and Leia separated, Leia was too busy and he grew up a bit of a brat and the Dark Side of Grampa Vader had bad boy appeal. The Mask and Codename are to protect a Jekyl and Hyde double identity.

    Possibly, although the line "I am immune to the light" suggests he wouldn't play dress up in 'goodie' clothing and have a double identity, or have anything to do with the resistance. Sounds like he's been a bad ass from an early age. That screen shot you referred to of AD in X-Wing attire was probably set up by JJ after the drone scandal!

    Being bad doesn't mean you can't play double agent and be your own spy within the resistance, being "immune from the light" means an utterly trustworthy double agency incapable of feeling anything sympathy for the other side he is pretending to be working for...

    Well your third premise goes against Cannon which suggests The Force created Anakin in response to DP's shenanigans not his direct action.

    Beyond that is has some nice sees for stories but not what I am seeing from the official news at all and it doesn't fit well with the general direction of speculation which seems to support MSW (not that I take them at 100% because I think they interpret things wrong).

    That and Plagueis is dead.

    Rey awaits her parents on Jakku. She's not 8 years old. How long is she awaiting ? 20 years ? So Leia can send Poe Dameron to find a lightsaber and not her daughter ? Who's gonna buy that ?
