    Vote on the Inquisitor's fate and if you pick none of the above explain what you think his fate will be.

    I think the Inquisitor will meet his fate at Ezra's hand, but I actually like the idea of Vader killing him off. I could see a situation where Vader views him as a rival, and in regular sith fashion removes the threat.

    Why does the Inquisitor look so much like the celestial son from TCW?

    I mean, there has to be some sort of purpose to this right?

    Even the mannerisms are similar.

    I voted "Killed by Vader" just for giggles. I'm thinking it'll be more due to the actions of Ezra, though perhaps Vader kills him off for failing to prevent the theft of the Death Star plans, which is where I feel the series is headed.

    I always noticed that too. I'm wondering if they merely borrowed the design, because the resemblance is uncanny.

    Maybe those tattoos were required by Vader for the Inquisitor so he would look like the Son.

    That almost sounds like a joke, but come to think of it Anakin/Vader is technically one of only three people we know of to have actually seen the Son.

    And if I might step outside seriousness for a moment, I always wondered what those little grooves on his head would feel like.

    We don't need to hear about your warped sexual fantasies Crichton! *Thinks about stroking Hera's Head tails*

    *Cough* but I digress.

    I have to really track down those episodes. I missed the middle of Clone Wars when they started putting it on early Saturday mornings.

    I notice the black smoke vision looked just like Yoda's vision in the Dagobah cave in the Lost Episodes.

    The design between the Son and Inquisitor is too close. It's not a coincidence. The animators are planning.. something :) of course, the Son exists outside of time and space so he may be 'appearing' like he is because he knows Anakin will have dealings with the Inquisitor in the future. yet another layer to torment him and keep him on the Dark Side's path
    EDIT: And now that we have seen the Inquisitor's full arc they apparently planned on ... saving money (by recycling a character design they just found cool) lol

    or something. Its definitely intentional. I just dont know what their intention is. It could be as simple as they just thought the son was a really cool design and hey- we got those creepy looking Nosferatu aliens- let's use one of them!

    BTW didn't Ahsoka die in the same batch of episodes and was revived? How did that process play out? Who brought her back? Was it the Son? If so, maybe that's the same process Plageius discovered to keep 'those he cared about' safe?

    I think it will be Vader, for failure to stop the crew of the Ghost from getting the Death Star plans. I'm pretty sure Kanan will die by the Inquisitor's hand but Ezra... I don't know. I am starting to think after Kanan's death he hides and may make an appearance in TFA

    I can see Vader killing the Inquisitor.
    After Inquisitor failed in destroy the Ghost crew....
    (Inqui)- Master, I couldn't complete my mission.
    (Vader) - You have failed me for the last time, Inquisitor.
    *Inqui gets suprised*
    (Inqui)- Please Master, have mercy.
    (Vader)- There's no mercy.
    Vader stabs him right at the chest. Sounds silly, but they can do a better thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Believe or not but I was about to write this but I gave up. Something like this would be frickin' awesome. Imagine Vader, on his sanctuary(castle, house, apartment, planet whatever), choking the Inquisitor? Intergalactic Force Choke. (dark)

    Jourus C'baoth did that to Thrawn in the novel Outbound Flight before Vader made it cool.

    I think it would be in person. The Inquisitor kneeling in front of Vader.

    "You've failed me again Inquisitor."
    "I destroyed the Jedi I did not know the others were successful in stealing the plans"
    "Excuses for your failure do not bring back the plans or the Jedi's apprentice"
    "I will track them down and destroy them all"
    "No. The emperor has grown weary of continued failures. I will be taking over"
    "Allow me to assist you Lord Vader. I will not fail you again"
    "I know." Vader's Lightsaber ignites straight into the chest of the Inquisitor. He falls dead.

    I also noticed their similarity and was glad to find it already being discussed. The Son was (or perhaps still is?) one of the most powerful dark-side beings in the galaxy (so much so he had to 'withdraw from the temporal world and live as an anchorite' in Mortis), yet the Inquisitor was a relatively subservient figure, actually answering to Vader. I find it unlikely that they are the same character..., unless (wild speculation to follow);

    ...it's part of a larger arc that hasn't been fully revealed yet? Hear me out;
    When in Mortis, the Son reveals to Anakin his dark Vader future;

    - the Father wiped Anakin's memory to try and prevent it from happening, but it happened exactly as foretold by the Son. This perhaps suggests that Anakin's path was an unavoidable fate. I've been reading other blogs speculating about the possible resurrection of Darth Plagueis in EpVII, and the possibility that Anakin was 'created' from the force by Plagueis as a force of evil to help carry out his long term plan of a) wiping out the Jedi Order, b) controlling the population through fear, then c) returning in physical form to rule for 1000 years without any Jedi to oppose him.

    If Disney are running with this larger 'Plagueis" story arc for the ST (and that's a big IF), and they are releasing the Rebels episodes as a lead-up to the new movies, perhaps there could be more to the Inquisitor / Son similarity, and perhaps the Son is a larger wolf in wolves clothing (Inquisitor) playing his part in the Grander Plan. Perhaps the Inquisitors final words in Rebels, "there are some things far more frightening than death", was referring to more than just Vader, but something far worse yet to come (which would tie in with the 'awakens' EpVII title?).

    Take a look at this video of Filoni speaking about the Mortis episodes in CW;

    I get the feeling this whole story point / 'ultra being realm' could have a lot more to offer in the new ST.

    Or the two could just be the same race, and it's merely coincidence?
    *Even if there is no link between the Son and the Inquistor, I'd love to hear thoughts on the Son / Plagueis arc idea anyway.
