SPOILER The Inquisitor's Fate?

I've see the episode but even though you put up the spoiler alert on the thread, the thread title is spoilerific. you should consider changing it.

 

Agreed. Spoiler tag doesn't prevent people from seeing the title.

 

He fell into an exploding core and shortly thereafter, the ship blew up...going to be pretty hard to come back from that.

 

He's with Plagueis in Dark Side hell.

 

IDK.... getting cut in 2 seems as thought that would be hard to survive. Darth Maul managed to not only to stay alive but also made it aboard a transport and traveled from one planet to another.

 

Darth Maul's return was about the only thing I didn't like about TCW. I remember when George Lucas was so adamant that Maul was dead. "That's why we cut him in half," he said. That is, until he changed his mind. Oh well.

I hope the Inquisitor is dead for good. Deaths should mean something in this series and in Star Wars in general. They should be impactful and consequential.

 

Well said \m/ I to remember GL saying that. You have a very good point. It's like saying **POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT** Han dies in TFA but most people come back to life after death in Star Wars, so it takes away the impact of the loss.

The Inquisitor'a death is obviously supposed to mimic Palatine's.

Down the shaft then boom.

 

Enjoyed the character, disappointed he's gone after 1 season (would have preferred Kallus bite the dust) but don't want to see any more back from the dead stuff either.

 

Yeah Naboo didn't blow up, and Darth Maul didn't fall into an exploding core.
He just dragged his "half" torso through a ventilation shaft, onto a transport bleeding out from one star system to the next.
Trust me I'm with everyone on hoping the Inquisitor STAYS dead.
I'm just merely saying that if Darth Maul can survive bleeding out from star system to star system.
Then anything can happen. (chewie)

 

I changed the thread title to "The Inquisitor's Fate?" since there are threads titled that for Ezra and Kanan as well.

 

I really hope he's dead. He was a pretty good character, but I don't want any more "Surprise! I wasn't really dead!" moments.

 

Yeah I couldn't see them continuing to pay a big actor like Jason Isaacs anyway. I'm sure his fees were pretty high.
On top of that, he has a new show where he is the lead actor so I'm sure he doesn't have time for Rebels too.

 

While I believe he didn't make it off the ship, we really didn't see where exactly he fell to. If they replace him with Vader, then the pay probably isn't a factor compared to what James Earl Jones would get. But it sounds like Vader's role will be more limited. Filoni said in the Rebels Recon for the finale that they didn't want to cheapen Vader as a character by having him fail when going against the Rebels. I expect to see other inquisitors showing up at some point.

However if he did make it off the ship, it isn't like he was in a lot of the episodes and nothing says he can't do both. I don't know if his new show is a voice role or a live action role, but Vanessa Marshall is also going to be voicing a major character in the animated Guardians of the Galaxy series.

The biggest reason I think he didn't make it though is I believe that is why Vader came to Lothal to take care of business. I think we'll see him in the season 2 premier "interrogating" those on Lothal who appear to working with or have knowledge of the Rebels, and maybe deal with more of the imperial officers who have failed.
