Nope. Kenobi has no child nor Luke.

I just watched a Clone Wars episode and the maxim was : Attachment is not compassion.

The jedi code is very clear. Don't search for snow in the desert.

Nope. It's not the jedi way. The academy is not high school.

It's like finding theories to bring on Batman in the story.

Just because there was a rule against it doesn't mean someone can't break it. Look at all the tales of forbidden love, a hero almost always emerges. 2 Jedi falling in love would be new and their child would be an apex Jedi. *cough King Ray of Light Skywalker cough*

Me too! And I will be super disappointed if it doesn't happen. But so far I think we are going in that direction... Let's just hope everyone stays on target and don't do some stupid nonsense... (x-wing) (x-wing 2) So far, so good.

i know ~ i'm getting worried that i'm way ahead of myself on setting up hopes for how this all plays out. but it's hard thinking there could be a satisfying ending in which Kylo Ren does a swan dive into a lava pit after Luke cuts off his arms or something because he's "irredeemably" bad.

man what a downer that would be.

Id rather see him to go to Mustacar at the end of IX. He's defeated, can't speak to Vader and realizes that there is no turning for him just like Vader in ROTJ. He goes to the exact same cliff bank Vader burned at, lies down, and burns himself, closing his eyes in piece like self-immolation .

I believe that Rey is no one... meaning she is not related to Kenobi or Skywalker. I can't recall where I read it but as per Abrams the story is constantly evolving. Rey may have started out as Luke's daughter but the story is continually changing, especially that now, Johnson has taken over episode 8. Johnson can change the story as he sees fit. I do believe that Rey and Kylo will have a deeper connection as the story progresses.

To counter, I think Rey is a Skywalker. Just to counter. Her force vision I think is of course altered is foreshadowing. So the scene with Luke/R2/KOR/Kylo is a scene we will see in Ep. 8. I think she can be a skywalker not a Kenobi. Just thinking of that she was prolly there around Luke academy just not involved in it. Ben Solo with Luke at the time had to care or was like a "cousin" to Rey but wasnt told by Luke that she played any role with anything. he prolly found out she was force sensitive and that when it started.

He did have the love interest in The Clone Wars, so I think it might be entirely possible for him to have something take place prior to The Star Wars time frame we know now or after he is watching over Luke as he grows up.

Obi-Wan also did things in the comics that would have been "non Jedi" in a manner.

I don't think that OB1 would ever abandon his mission of looking over Luke. OB1 believed that if Anakin left the Jedi order, he might fall to the dark side, so he would leave the order as well to deter this; therefore, leaving Tatooine and abandoning Luke is to me unforeseen. OB1 dedicated life to safeguard Owen, Beru, and Luke. OB1 is a warrior monk, he would not fall to passion like Anakin did.

Why are so many fans determined to believe that Obi-Wan had left behind an offspring or a grandchild? Why is that so important to them?

If Obi-Wan is capable of giving in to anger, which I have seen on at least two occasions, then he was capable of giving in to passion. He was NOT perfect. But that does not mean I believe that he had fathered a child.
