The fractured light sabre is with Rey on board Millennium Falcon. Does any one know how Rey got back to falcon after that duel in throne room ???????

Yep, that certainly seems to be the case, but 16 people gave it a 4/10, which noticeably drags the average Cantina rating for the film down to a score of 7.3.

I think they reference her taking Snoke's shuttle during Hux and Kylo's dialogue and she and chewie hashed out a rendezvous beforehand.

    That they did.

I’m actually really gutted that we didn’t get to see it. Was it just another one of those Lambda-class inspired shuttles, like the one Finn and Rose took?

Because seeing Snoke and his taste...I’m pretty sure it’d be gold. Or red. Or both.

    Is Snoke actually Iron Man?

That's the opposite of what Luke said. Luke said he can't save Ben. (I expect that's both Ben's own job and Rey's responsibility to help if it's going to happen.) But Luke also said no one is too far gone.

It's all there in the conversation with Leia.

    "What's in there?"
"Only what you take with you."

Reading the negative opinions, it seems like the majority of the dislike is rooted in the fact this movie didn't give them what they expected to see, as if we were promised something and were lied to. I feel that if we let go of our preconceptions and let the movie happen to us rather than us fighting it, it's a much more enjoyable experience.

I'll give you criticism of the humor is valid, or the second act especially with regard to Canto Bight, but as a whole, and particularly the Luke/Rey/Ben/Snoke story... let it go. Within the realm of Star Wars, this was groundbreaking storytelling.

Great comment, but anyway - if they hype something up in the first movie, and then a lot of it doesn't matter...then I would say it is also valid criticism to point this out. We may never know if they wanted this to be part of the experience, or if simply Rian broke with what was established to be edgy.

I Initially posted this in the "have you seen it did you like it or hate it" thread, but for the sake of streamlining ill repost and expand a bit here.

The strangest thing to me about TLJ wasn’t the odd link between Kylo and Rey. Nor the glazed over lore that I was admittedly building too much of my own hype for. But the fact that they stuck the whole film into that contained 24-hour time frame. It stole the possibility of greater exploration and felt like it should have been a spinoff film or an episode of Rebels.

Now having seen two of the Sequel trilogy I’m starting to see what it is that I’m not grabbing onto with this new trilogy. It feels too constricted. As if they are using this trilogy to kill off the heart song of the story as we know it. The dying embers of the resistance, our Skywalker storyline coming to a close. Culminating in a 9th film that snuffs it all out for good.

And it’s all set up beautifully for Princess Leia to lead a finale we’ll never get to see. RIP Carrie Fisher. - I've never missed her more.

That being said - I was blown away by the Hyperspace kamikaze, Love the team up battle although I can't believe they got rid of Snoke so quickly. I also felt the humor was overdone and misplaced, and space Leia.... *faceplam*

Chewie being chewie was a sight for sore eyes. from kicking down luke's door to his inner turmoil to eating the porg finally his Incredible flight through the caverns of Crait. my god that was awesome. but what was his point other than being a glorified chauffer?

And Luke's Force projection battle with Kylo was wicked. Seeing him fully utilize his powers in such a way was next level awesome.

But I disagree the revelation that her parents were nobodies is a let down. I think it gives gives her the ability to live up to her own expectations of herself and not rely on any birthright or special pedigree. That's partly why Ben fell to the darkside. And remember, no one ever said her parents were special in any way except the fans. She was just awaiting their return. Everything after that is just head canon. The hype was the product of the fans, not the film.

It would help if we get a long and detailed director commentary on the Blu-ray, or simply a long interview. I'm struggling to understand the message of this film. Yes, it is what we make of it, but I would still like for Rian Johnson to "justify" some of his choices.
