Completely agree, and its going to be probably alot like the "Are we really doing this" tone of going head on against the new AT-4X's pf the First Order and Finn just sucking at piloting maybe Poe is also there and says something like "get it together Finn".

Intense scene comedic relief? ahahaha

I hope not... I had enough of Jar Jar Finn... jk. Finn is not a pilot. I hope they don't do that. One of the reasons ANH is my favorite is that the comedy was in the dialogue, For example when Han ask Leia what took you so long, she replies I ran into some old friends. Han running in a room full of Stormtroopers was added later on and it wasn't that goofy. I hope they don't use Finn in TLJ as a goofball. I heard rumors that he was training so I hope his role is more serious this time.

 

I agree, I feel like that's probably Finn and Rose. Neither are experienced pilots (at least I'm assuming Rose isn't, since these two will apparently bond over having both been maintenance workers).

 

She stated several times that she wore a Finn t-shirt at SWC does she have a crush on Finn?

 

I did too originally - the inclusion of Vader's single breath threw me completely, but after too many views to be counted as a reasonable amount, you can clearly see the silver grill found around Kylo's helmet's eyepiece.



As for the glass, I actually don't think that's glass at all, but rather the ashes we were introduced to in TFA (the main reason I suggest this as opposed to glass is how dull and non-reflective the material is, alongside how fine and small some of the chunks are).

The Glass/Ash looks like glass to me, its too rigid and structued to be actual ash.
The shot of the smashed helmet is very odd, as due to the slow zooming nature of the shot it does not look like it is part of an action scene. I strongly doubt this exact shot will be used in the film, it just feels all wrong. I think if the Helmet was intentally destroyed in combat or vicariously destroyed in a ship battle or something, then this would not be the kind of shot they would use.

I can only see this shot being used as a 'reval' shot. such as Snoke asking Hux to fetch Kylo Ren from his chambers and Hux opening the door to find Kylo Ren gone and the mask destroyed. Such as if Kylo defected from the first order in order to face Luke. that seems to be his motivation in TFA.
its that kind of a shot, its a dramatic reveal shot, meaning the destruction of the helmet most likely isn't combat, unless this shot was done for trailer material only.

 

I agree: it looks too large and rigid to be what we refer to as ash. However, take another look at the shot of Kylo's helmet from TFA in the ash: there are clearly some larger and more rigid chunks, as almost as if it's slate, in the ash.

As for it being trailer material only, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me, though it would be an immensely cool shot to see featured in the film.

 

The glass could be...
1. Part of Kylo's smashed mask.
2. Parts of a control panel after Kylo goes nuts and breaks stuff.
3. Parts of Vader's mask which Kylo has destroyed, then destroyed his own mask.
4. Parts of a dark kyber crystal that Kylo was about to fashion into a new sabre (if a red lightsabre blade can destroy it)

There's a large area covered by this "glass" whatever it is. Maybe it's just Lego.

Err... its a satirical sketch. They've firmly got tongue in cheek while making fun of all the "unbiased" corporate sponsored pop-culture panel channels that plague Youtube these days.

 

Finn is not a pilot, he's trained as a soldier. And I would really like for Finn to grow beyond a comic relief roll in TLJ, get some truly badass moments of his own.

Ah. I haven't watched these guys in a while, so I wasn't sure. Though I guess "act like you despise it" is something they've been doing for a while.

 

Who is the cloaked figure with Artoo? Is it confirmed that it is Luke?

To me it looks like Kylo Ren by the way he walks/stradles. Could it be that he is redeemed in this movie and he helps the good guys. The close-up shot of him with his lightsabre could be him attacking Phasma in the scence where some building is on fire. That would then put the attention on Snoke being the main antagonist.

 

I'm betting the shot with kylo and his blade is either the huge tree burning or the falcon. Or possibly both.

The only built the underside of the falcon when shooting here in Ireland.
The top had green screen tarp stretched across it.

It's in the scenes we heard where the KOR are attacking Rey and Luke and we see Luke he a bad ass taking them out with the force while kylo fights Rey and he flees when faced with luke.

 

Could it be they fight on the planet Ruusan where the Valley of the Jedi is...
Kylo is obsessed with artifact so maybe they go here.

It looks like the planet in the space battle scene and also has rocky areas/cliffs. The burning could be of the Jedi monument.

 

agree on both points ~ heading for balance? i've guessing in proximity at first these two are pure chaos until they figure out how to chill out.

i'm in this camp ~ looks like Rey's hand to me. not sure why i have the impression, but it's the sense i get: she's wearing training or climbing gloves.

nothing will abolish Reylo except Rey being a Skywalker (and even then maybe not for some people) ~ hahahaha
