    Hey @MBWilson
Can we put the spoiler alert on thread to speak openly about the chapter?
Don't know if we can fix this or create a new one

Fixed it :) (I jumped in just because I remember some patrons had trouble re-adding the prefix a while ago, so... just in case that also happened here. With my dark side Sith powers, I can do it easily :) )

Making Star Wars was right she got the Darksaber, indeed. Great episode, going for another watch 1 & 2 back to back!

Cool! Thank you guys! @Angelman @MBWilson

    Now my post ;)

    Adventure in Mandalore!!

Slow-paced and old classic dark adventure in Mandalore full of Mandalorian worldbuilding and little details to keep us (really) intrigued.

I like this chapter for one thing: I didn't expected nothing of what I've seen. R5, Bo Katan, Grogu, Cyborg droid, the capture, and the..................!

I was wrong about Bo Katan to show in later episodes. So cool to see her in this adventure saving the day, after Grogu saving the day.

That cyborg droid (that reminds Grievous in some aspects) was pretty cool, something like found in a Phil Tippett or Terry Gilliam dream/nightmare.

Really loved the details on Grogu's behaviour (speak, anger, orientation, the force...). Damn cool!

Loved the dark tone, (after a weak but short begining on Tatooine), the little lights down there, and all the surprises! Also the ships, dialogs and the worldbuilding. Great chapter for me.

    My God, a ..............................!!!!!

    Next chapter please!

Yeah wow. I am starting it over again because I know I missed some stuff.
I'm right there with you, they have surprised me, too. I really thought we were going to take a few episodes before actually getting to Mandalore, much less the Living Waters... And I guess technically Bo-Katan did get the Darksaber, and I don't think Din is gonna argue much, especially since she has now literally pulled him from the jaws of death three times now.

I mean... was that really ?!

    A FREAKING MYTHOSAUR??!!!
Did anyone seriously see that coming?

    Absolutely not!
The funny thing is minutes before they talk about it and when Din disappears in the water, in terms of storytelling, we could imagine something is down there..
But our minds know that's a legend and while Bo is swimming down under the water (with the jet pack XD, don't care id it's possible but the photography, lights and contrasts looked so cool) we can imagine there is a creature but not the mythosaur. And before you can think about it again they show it in a subtle and epic way.

Now the question is, who will ride that freaking legend? Mando or Bo?

PD i have to check again but indeed Bo take the darksaber, I think after that it returned to Mando again. Not sure

@Madmartigan How can you not like PELI??? Her Jawa speak kills me. ANH is my fav, so every instance we get Peli puts a huge tooth missing smile on my face... HAHA!!!

Its Jon Favreau dudes!!! He loved the Mythosaurs Boba Fett Star Wars Holiday Special sequence as he told GL in the BTS footage. Mando carries the rifle that disintegrates for that very reason. Mando will ride the Mythosaur!!! We will surely see it in live action! This is an epic episode! OMG these cliffhanger endings are killing me, another 7 days for chapter 19... DAMN

    BO-KATAN has skills!!! (duel)

For those that are unaware Jon Favreau pitched a BOBA FETT series but KK said he could not use Boba because they were making a Boba Fett standalone film at the time. So Favreau had to create a Mandalorian series, that is why Boba Fett is old in the book of Boba Fett, and retired from bounty hunting. He is a crimelord now. Favreau could have created a show with a young Boba Fett but it wasn't in the cards, so Mando is the Boba Fett we could have gotten.

    Spoiler breakdown:

    Well, I wasn't expecting mythosaur, that's for sure. :D

Din is persistent, I'll give him that. He has to be with how often he gets his as$ handed to him, lol. But, I am not going to lie, when he bowed his head to Bo Katan after she said her father died defending Mandalore and said "This is the way", I got chills.

Awww, Grogu can be more than cute, I like that. Cute and useful, deadly combination.

    S3Ep2:
--I fraggin’ love Peli Motto! And her jawas! And her droids! :D
--R5-D4, veteran of the Rebellion! :)
--Very clever to teach the audience some sector geography through Din Djarin teaching Grogu. The fact that Bo-Katan is just around the corner is going to be paid off later.
--Cool crab droid, and great infusion of SW weirdness
--Creepy spidery-corpse-droid lair. The can’t-believe-its-not-Grievous dude is quite interesting, too.
--Look at Grogu go! He’s very proactive this episode :D (Also, the geography is already paying off! ‘cause a writer wrote this!)
--Underwater jetpack use? Good to know!
--The Mythosaurus was pretty obvious with it being mentioned as a reminder in the episode intro, so the reveal wasn’t all that surprising. Prediction = Someone’s going to ride the Mythosaurus. ;)

I liked this episode :) Cool little stand-alone story.

I LoVe sTarbuck! Great show, Feloni Rules! Ep 1 nearly put us to sleep but this was excellent though I really not a fan of modern dark cinematic.

Yep. Mando is the Boba Fett we needed. He is doing all we expected from Boba.

I also thought it was for the copyrights of the single character, I think it was not in its entire meaning in the "whole pack" to work with when SW was sold. The trademark was updated different times and the last one was during Mandalorian season 2 if am not wrong, that's why they could use him in season 2 and do BOBF.

Is not I didn't liked it :p @Rogues1138 , just I thought they were trying too much too put all the humor part in her. But i absolutely agree with you, when she speaks Jawa is totally hilarious (it has to be so difficult to make those noises and sound cool and like Jawas! kudos to her).

Edit: I thought Din would use BD-72 to go to Mandalore but giving protagonism to R5 was really cool too. There are great shots with him. I will put a couple in the screenshots section

Edit2: I really love the Boba Fett Holiday Special section. The animation is so classic, so Moebius, with a great author touch.

Another solid episode. It seems like they're lining everything up for either Din or Grogu to unite the Mandalore clans.
Wasn't this debunked at some point? I know this theory was out there, but I think some statements after have put this idea to rest.

Mando confidently walking into water and then sinking like a stone was pretty funny. The entire episode made my day, so much Star Wars goodness.

Boonta Eve in Mos Eisley! Street racing, fireworks and speeder-jacking Jawas. Peli and her crew are awesome, good to see her BD droid still hanging around, and I think High Magistrate Karga needs that Ferrari-yellow Gonk droid she has in her shop. "Paint those parts so they look new" was a good callback to Obi-Wan telling the Jawa that he should at least clean his parts before selling them back to him... I love her Jawa talk, and when Peli smiled still missing her tooth, I laughed out loud. I really wanted more Tattooine, but I'm sure we will return.

I was surprised that the very next stop was Mandalore. I really expected there to be a couple of other side missions to get us there, but they do not seem to be messing around. Alamites, huh? Just as scary and aggressive as they are goofy looking, I was thinking that those guys were really something to fear down in the mines, until Din gets snatched by that insane symbiotic eyeball cockroach droid guy in the giant mecha-spider.

Grogu's big adventure was awesome! I love how they showed him last week, using the Force at will to spin the chair, grab candy and just being more aware of conversations and happenings, and now he is piloting the N-1 to go and get help from Bo-Katan. They grow up so fast. Ok, so he really only pointed to Kalevala on the chart, but still pretty impressive. I love, love, LOVE Bo-Katan in this episode. The way she flips from "let's get rid of this guy once and for all" to all-in let's go save his life, that was great. Seeing her as she seemingly sees her former home in complete devastation for the first time, and how she talks about it to Grogu and to Din, was heartbreaking, yet you could feel the anger in her rising. I cannot wait until she gets to confront Moff Gideon after she has seen in person what he has done to Mandalore.

I'm not sure about the Darksaber and who has it now, although technically, Din did lose it and she did get possession in combat... I did like how they showed Din still struggle to wield it, yet when her time came, she used it with ease. They made a point to show Din dust off his blaster and holster it, but I didn't notice him do the same with the Darksaber. The fire inside of her has been stoked either way, and I really like where S3 is pointed with her arc. I love how back in her throne room she couldn't have cared less about Din's quest to follow his crazy cult's mandate, yet now, she is going to personally lead him right to the water. It seems like she sees the absolute commitment he has made to this journey, and is beginning to see him as an ally instead of an obstacle to what she truly wants. The scene where she talks about her father, and Din's reaction to the story was very significant, I feel. They both instantly made the connection with how important one's beliefs and their fighting for those beliefs, can impact future generations. They share the weight of that realization now.

The last scene is still, to me, just almost unspeakably amazing. Firstly, the tension, knowing something was gonna grab him, then Bo-Katan leaping to action AGAIN... the visuals with the water and the jetpack, and then... It feels so big it still feels spoilery to even talk about. Even though, yes it was discussed in the recap, and yes, she literally read that plaque about the Mythosaur mere seconds before it happened, but I still never would have imagined seeing one alive in this time.

So what's next? Honestly, I do not care. In just 2 episodes, they have taken my expectations and presumptions and turned them on their head. We have already seen what I figured would take half the season or more to see, and so much more. I can't even predict what is next. I'm firmly strapped in and ready for whatever they bring.

Especially considering that she has said in interviews that just the basic dialogue seems like a foreign language to her. Favreau had to explain to her what a droid is, lol. She is a comic genius. The tooth gag was improvised by her just to make Jon laugh, and they kept it.

Now that would have been the coolest! Also I didn't know the BD had a name! Awesome. R5 finally seeing some real action was great.

I liked this episode so much! Weird Star Wars is good Star Wars. Also bring on Mandalore lore!

I was surprised that we got to the Mines this fast in the season--I thought there would be more buildup. But I'm glad Bo showed her good side here and came running to save our damsel Djarin in distress a couple of times. (Underwater jetpack FTW!) Glad Grogu is a quick study with all this navigation stuff! ;)

Anyway, I need to rewatch but I'm pretty sure Din put both his blaster and the Darksaber back in their places on his person during the campfire/soup scene.

I loved how Din was respectful of Bo's father's death for Mandalore--"This is the Way." That was great.

When Din went down like a stone to the bottom of the Living Waters--why? It seemed like something dragged him down, whether it was living (the Mythosaur??) or nonliving (mystical weight of the Darksaber?). So my question is...was Bo so shook about seeing a real live mythosaur, or was she so shook because of seeing the mythosaur AND there was something significant about the way Din went down so fast?

EDIT: I'm also confused about the spider droid guy--did he put something into Din to make him woozy, or did he take something out (i.e., Din's blood)?

I believe she would have defeat Din for it in combat to take ownership of it. After what happened to her in the past I don't think she's in a hurry to pick it on a technicality.

All I could think about watching this episode was that Jon Favreau was channeling his inner-Tolkien fanboy as he wrote it. :)
