Saw some of the Wave 2 (3.75) figures finally appeared in Target after the New Year. Got a Wave 2 Luke, as I will be searching for Leia and hope to get lucky.

Got lucky today at Target as they had all Wave 2 (3.75) TLJ figures. I thought I was going to have buy a Leia online, but I was able to get one today too!

 

Not sure if any of you heard, but for all the 3.75” collectors, it looks like the remainder of the upcoming figures have been cancelled. The Captain Phasma/Finn (First Order Disguise) set, C'ai Threnalli, and the First Order Flametrooper are all Entertainment Earth exclusives now. I'm disappointed because I did want the Phasma/Finn set and I would've picked up C'ai Threnalli, too. Some people have seen the figures in stores, so I'm optimistic they might pop up there and will eventually make their way to Amazon, if nothing else.

Between the underperformance of The Last Jedi toys during the holiday season and the fact that Solo is four months away, I think Disney and Hasbro have kind of screwed themselves in the promotional department. It'll be interesting to see what the “Force Friday” event for Solo will be like, and whether or not any characters from The Last Jedi will pop up in the next line. (Personally, I think figures for characters like Lieutenant Connix and Admiral Holdo are long overdue, as is Snoke, although we're getting him in the Vintage Collection in the spring, supposedly.)

Either way, it should be interesting!

 

Crait Luke, pleeeease.

It's unlikely, though... That version of Luke was probably 100% off-limits during the production in order to prevent leaks. I don't know how the toy business works, but I would guess that if they were to make one, they would be able to start production only now. And currently the whole Solo line is probably done and ready for shipment, so it's too late to add him to it. Man, just look how long we had to wait for any sort of TFA Luke merch.

 

I agree. We don't need a bunch of repacks when something like Crait Luke should be a given. (Especially because the Jedi Exile Luke figure looks SO ugly with that hood on it. Hasbro should make it up to us by giving us a Crait Luke figure!)

I just feel like they definitely could've replaced some of the characters in the line with more important ones. Even if they held off on Crait Luke until after the film was out, I definitely think they should've included him and Holdo in the line. (I still think it's ridiculous that Lieutenant Connix doesn't have her own figure either, and I don't understand why Snoke wasn't released individually.)

There are A LOT of issues with Hasbro that have remained unresolved for a long time, so God only knows what's in store for the Solo line, especially because the Vintage Collection is due out in the spring, too, and will probably outsell it. Toy sales are declining, and half the time when I see Star Wars toys being bought, they're adult consumers, so I really think the Vintage Collection will do better because it's more directed at adult collectors.

 

One question. After all, how many outfits does Luke has in TLJ? I counted 4, and you?

☆ The jedi robe in his first apparition in Ach Too;
☆ The outfit in the jedi temple, flashback;
☆ This Brown one what it seems to look leather;
☆ And the final one in Crait where black predominates.

 

i like this too (still contemplating whether i want to even start down this path, though for sure I want TLJ Leia).
Ahch-To Luke is better than the first one in his jedi robes, i think.
but Crait Luke would also be awesome. wonder if HT will make that one too. : o O

 

I think Hot Toys could be the first Crait Luke figure that we'll see. That was the case with TFA Luke (aside from the Funko Pop) and it was revealed almost a year after the film came out... I hope Hasbro will give us something sooner, although the fact how little we got of TFA Luke speaks against it.

 

Or soon we will see stills with good quality around the web and we can repair in every little detail.

 

Similar, but no the same. The one from flashback has a short tunic.

 

Luke has more outfits in TLJ than Queen Amidala in TPM.

 

No character will ever have more outfits than Padmé in Episode I. She basically has a new costume for every scene she appears in.
