    1. Star Wars Galaxies.

To this day I miss this game. I remember trekking across Dathomir with my friends to the Imperial Prison before there were speeders - and getting absolutely wrecked when we first encountered the Nightsisters. I remember the bounty hunter/pistoleer eyeshot devastation. I remember burning hard earned AT-STs to the ground (permanently) with my Krayt tissue enhanced flamethrower as a Commando. I remember when there were no Jedi. I can still tell you the name of the best weaponsmiths and armorsmiths on my server. My kingdom for an updated, sandbox, open world, difficult and epic Star Wars game like this.

    2. KOTOR 1
    3. KOTOR 2

    Honorable mention to Republic Commando.

    1. KOTOR 1 - The perfect star wars game, playing as an early teen, was my first real 'expanded universe adventure'. Bastila Shan, Revan, Malak, Jolee Bindo, The Star Forge, HK47 - so many good characters and locations.

    2. KOTOR 2 The Sith Lords. Not perfect but was still great, add the mods in for the extra content. Darth Nihilus <3

    3. Star Wars: Battlefront II Untold hours of fun, galactic conquest - taking over the galaxy was so much fun!!

You did not specify what type of games but here goes:

    1.
Without a doubt the best Star Wars gaming experience I have had, and which I'd recommend to any fan of the saga, is
STAR WARS: THE ROLEPLAYING GAME, SECOND EDITION (West End Games). Three other Star Wars RPGs have been published since but I didn't like those. The West End Games RPG had a lot of support and all of it can be found for free online in PDF format. Ah, the tales we told... Ran a years-long campaign in the mid-nineties, creating our own Episode VII and beyond... :)

    2.
Next up is a recently released tabletop game, Star Wars: Destiny from Fantasy Flight Games. A mix of CCG and dice, elegant design and lots of fun - Christmas holidays 2016 will be remembered for this game :D

    3.
Not sure what to put here. I've played almost all Star Wars video Games, but I find few of them to be actually excellent. The old X-Wing and TIE Fighter Games were great, and I spent countless hours on Rebellion.. I wonder if the board game version is any good.

Can confirm, it's fantastic. The rulebook is a little thick, but it sounds like you're a tabletop veteran, I bet you could handle it.
Our channel covered it in April/May, and had a ton of fun with it.

Gosh, can't remember my list right now. Its been a while since I've played any classic SW games.

    Probably something like this:
    Battlefront 2
    The Force Unleashed
    Battlefront (EA)

    1. Rogue Squadron III (GC) - Not the best RS game but pretty good, the main thing is it has all the old Star Wars arcade games, including the original which is my #1 game.

    2. Knights Of The Old Republic (XBOX) - I love Star Wars, and I love RPG games, so when they said a Star Wars RPG was coming out I pre-ordered that sucker and waited. And waited. I forget how many times they pushed back the release but the wait was worth it.

    3. Obi-Wan (XBOX) - It was basically the reason I bought the system. As I was in Best Buy buying my XBOX and Obi-Wan the sales guy was trying to talk me out of the game and telling me I HAD to get Halo and that Obi-Wan was terrible. And while he was right about Halo (I picked up a copy a few weeks after and I'm still playing the franchise 16 years later) he was wrong about Obi-Wan. It was awesome.

Honorable Mention: TESB on Atari 2600. It doesn't really hold up too well but at the time it was awesome and it was probably the best console Star Wars game until the SNES came out. Which isn't saying much as most of the other Atari games were garbage, as well as those two NES games.

I've only played about eight Star Wars games, and it's still hard to pick just three favorites...but that list would probably look something like this (in no particular order):

X-Wing Collector's Edition (PC) - this game furthered my interest in Star Wars as a youth. (x-wing 2)

Rogue Squadron 1 & 2 (Nintendo N64, Gamecube) - again, great Star Wars flight games - to me, RS2's graphics still hold up fairly well today

Battlefront 2 (2005; Xbox) - a great combination of everything that's awesome about Star Wars to me (yoda)(x-wing 2)(han)

(I know, I listed four, but picking between the two Rogue Squadron games was a little tough!)

Honorable mention: The LEGO Star Wars series - because, again, so much is represented well

RS2 probably had the best selection of levels you'd want to play, as in all the battles from the movies, but I found it kind of frustrating. I completely aced RS 1 and 3 but I had trouble finishing levels in RS2 much less beating the time/score. I did enjoy the challenge though.

I was really into X-Wing and TIE Fighter but I never had X-Wing vs TIE Fighter (or X-Wing Alliance) but I did play it some at a friend's house and enjoyed it. In '97 I still had the same computer I had in '93 when the first game came out, and it couldn't handle the newer games. At that point I switched back from PC to console and got an N64 which ended up having a lot of great Star Wars games. Plus Goldeneye. I need to find a way to hook that thing back up.

Yeah, I didn't remember having much trouble with RS2 as a kid, but I recently played it again last month for the first time in over a decade, and good lord was it difficult!

I honestly don't know how I did it as a kid. Fun, definitely, but frustrating as heck.

I wouldn't put them at the top of my list, but speaking of flight simulators I really enjoyed those Starfighter/Jedi Starfighter games. The stories were pretty good and there were some epic battles, particularly the Droid Control Ship battle from the first game.

I've played a lot of SW games. A lot. So this one's difficult.

    1. Dark Forces.
At one moment you're in a type of warehouse, when you have to enter a hallway, modelled after the interior of the Tantive IV. The accompanying music playing is The Battle Of Endor. And dude, this game was hard. Hard.

    2. Shadows of the Empire
The SotE "movie without a movie project" hype was real. At least for me. I remember this one playing first on a Pentium 3, which barely held itself together. Some while later I found the N64 version at a discount somewhere. So disappointed they swapped the cutscenes for low texture screenshots..

    3. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2.
My man Kyle Katarn turns out to be a Jedi? Yes please!
Besides finally getting to wield a lightsaber this game had - like the first DF - great atmosphere. The FMV's at the time were awesome too.

So, yeah, lots of nostalgia for this bearded boi. These games came out when a new trilogy was only rumoured, so they greatly expanded the SW universe and showed there were some awesome stories to tell beyond the movies. I only hope the singleplayer of the new Battlefront will honor this. Same goes for the new Visceral Games IP.

    Honorable mentions:

    - Kotor. After hours of adventuring and world building stories, came thát twist. Mission Vao can tinker with my engine any time!

    - Even though 2015's Battlefront lacked in (singleplayer) content, every time I play a match on Endor, I immediately want to go and watch Return of the Jedi. Say what you will about this game, the developer put a lot of attention to detal in this one. Hopefully Battlefront 2 will blow this game away on all, eehm, fronts.

It's been a long time since I played it (like since it first came out) so my memory is fuzzy, but did it have different difficulties? Because I beat it but I don't remember having that much difficulty and I'm not particularly great at FPS games. And that was one of the first FPS games I ever played plus the joystick I had on my PC at the time was more suited for flight simulators. As I'd bought it specifically for X-Wing and TIE Fighter.

Mostly in comparison with games nowadays. Though I played it on the original Playstation, maybe that accounts for something. Still, it wasn't the easiest game, I remember some pretty annoying puzzles too.

To me most of those early FPS games were a puzzle in and of themselves as I was constantly getting lost or couldn't figure out where to go.
