Thank you. Exactly. But it's been announced for some time now that tlj will have an overlay there. TL = Tomorrowland. In fact, ST might be cancelled due to the MF attraction.

I thought the RO BTS was a lot better than the TFA one, in terms information that could be gleaned from it and capturing the "feel" of the film.
The TFA one was more a celebration of the new (dare I say hopeful) beginning of SW under Disney, which is natural.

The RO one came out after the first teaser but the TFA BTS came out after the second teaser.

If you mean that the TFA BTS gave more away than that first teaser, I agree 100%. I felt like the second teaser

I felt like all we got from TFA BTW was 3PEO's red arm, Poe in handcuffs, and a few aliens (including the death gang guys..)...Leia's costume had been leaked but not confirmed.

I just feel like a four minute BTS video that is released before the movie and is 3:30 minutes of interviews, shots people standing around a monitor on location, and 5 second shots of very minor characters on set or getting dressed isn't nearly as compelling as a trailer.

I also think LFL was way too slow in starting the main marketing push for TFA and overplayed it's hand in November and December on both films. Both made over a billion so I'm probably wrong in my thinking.

It'd sure be sweet to get both at SWC since has kept everything on lockdown so expertly up until now.

The problem with Disney's strategy is that it starts to cram films together. A Star Wars film was just released a couple months ago, and, less than a year from now, another one will be released.

Disney cannot intelligently start publicity for VIII until the Rogue One exhaustion is overcome.

It could be possible to keep the hype going into Celebration.

Considering that it's one of their most popular rides and that they're making updates to it on a biennial schedule, doubtful. The Millennium Falcon ride seems to be taking after the Harry Potter rides at Universal Studios, so I don't think you should treat it like it and Star Tours are the same thing.

Disney's whole thinking is that they dont want star wars in another land if there is a literal "Star Wars Land." I think the TLJ overlay will be temporary unil 2019 and the MF attraction is modeled right after star tours...I dont think it will be like harry potter because Imagineering is already testing the MF and the video that I've seen is next gen tech.

That's not their thinking... At all. What sense would there to be to pull the attraction from their international parks if they're only going to supply an alternative - and one which is considerably more limited in terms of visual content - in two of their many locations? Not to mention that said attraction already has very good attendance year-round, and it wouldn't make the park expansion any less "special". Attendance for Star Wars Land is going to be huge, and attendance to Disneyland/Disney World parks will also be huge. If anything, it's a benefit for their Star Wars content to be spread out in that sort of way!

I dont know anything about internationally, I was talking about domestically. The reasoning is because it wouldnt make sense to have a star wars attraction in a non-star wars land. If anything, they'd just re-skin the attraction to a non-star wars one. When I worked for Disney, I remember tehre being huge debates over this actually. the TLJ overlay is partially because they knew that the initial opening date of "sometime in 2017" wasnt going to happen so it was to tide fans over...dont forget that disney is all about immersiveness and themes lands so its probably not likely to spill over regardless of how "popular" something is...a good example would be that you wouldnt see Mickey Mouse twice in different places.

Which would make no sense in the case of Disneyland, as Star Wars Land is an expansion attached to the park. And with Disney World, the park that Star Tours is attached to - Hollywood Studios - is where the expansion is being built. Technically, there's no need for reworking Star Tours into a new ride here because the only thing separating the attraction locations is distance, not parks. Not to mention that overhauling an existing attraction that's already popular would not be an effective use of resources, nor would it be in the company's best interest unless they were really confident that it would outdo the original attraction.
Pretty sure you can see him in every park.

Is anyone really surprised, though? They've repeatedly stated that Snoke is Snoke and not some code name for someone else's identity, which is why all Snoke theories are inherently sucky according to Pablo Hidalgo. If you're concerned about who he might be over what he's done and what his endgame is, then you're missing the forest for the trees.

Also, spoiler dump thread for those who are curious.
