So...he helps them on Canto Bight, get's them off Cantonica and helps them infiltrate the FO? Or...is he leading them right to Phasma? It's a trap!

Well, I'm not saying it is him for a fact but it did look a little like him, to me at least. It could just as easily by a FO commander.

I’m not watching the BTS stuff - and steering clear of conversation around it - but I’m not against looking at the official stills.

This one, in particular, of Luke and what are seemingly the remains of his book collection from the burning Temple caught my eye:

Third book in from the left, the white one. Though this isn’t a HD image so I can’t be sure, it certainly looks as though it could be written in the same script as those found in McQuarrie’s Yavin Temple concepts:

An ancient Massassi language isn’t out of the question, but could it also be in Ancient Sith scripture?

Thank you kindly, I’ll see what I can see.

EDIT: it’s either something entirely new -- or I’m missing something.

Looks like a form of Basic with features of the Kwa (Legends) and Huttese script. My best guess is that it’s an ancient and stylised form of Galactic Basic.

For those wondering, the link with the Kwa is between the general shape of the text on the binding of that book (third from the left) and the lining of their hoods:

Wouldn’t be too out there to be brought back into canon in some form from what I can see, so perhaps it is Kwa; Attuned to the Power of the Cosmos, my people traveled the galaxy via Infinity Gates—portals that transported us instantly between great distances. We observed many worlds and brought civilization to their people.

Strange, as they seem to be some version of what we think the Whills to be, to some extent.

Hmm, seems that we get a better look at the Yin Yang styled symbol from the trailer earlier this month, which is pretty similar to the one in the Mortis arc of The Clone Wars (seemingly in both appearance and size):

I think this (new) image confirms the seal is a B&W symmetrical image as opposed to a yin-yang.

As I say above and have said before: “-esque” (i.e. in the style of) and “styled”.

This is quite clearly a symbol based on Yin-Yang, from colour to symmetry and so on, but of course, isn’t actually Yin-Yang.

B/W yes, maybe. The nuances are more than two.
But symmetrical? To me, not at all.
It looks like there's something drawn, with a triangular shape in mid-right angle
and then there's another thing in the bottom left with two branches going into opposite direction....

We're getting into the semantics weeds a bit here. I wasn't saying or implying it is an actual yin-yang. I was talking about the aesthetics. As opposed to something that might be symmetrical in its own circular nature this seems to be literally symmetrical down the middle (as in inverse mirror images). (i.e. the difference in visual symmetry and philosophy/nature-inspired symmetry). A yin-yang obviously cannot be symmetrical in a linear visual sense. See: reflectional symmetry versus rotational symmetry. That might be a minor detail to you, but to me it changes the inspiration, meaning, and obviously the aesthetics now that we have a clear still.

The focus of the image is also a top-to-bottom as opposed to a side-by-side in the sense that yin 'chases' yang and vice-versa. So there's that difference as well.

I can see what you mean in the *spirit* of a yin-yang. But the yin & yang focuses on the balance in totality (the visual focus is on a dualism - two things). This image implies an actual middle ground - a grey if you will. There are THREE orbs. One light, one dark, one half&half.

I think this is important because there will be, to me at least (the signs are there?), a focus on a 'middle' ground. This is just as much a BALANCE between the light and the dark as it is a separate thing in of itself. "A balance... is so much bigger."

This would be a different ideology than a light side user that acknowledges/embraces he/she has a bit of a dark side as well - Mace. Or the darkside variant. OR even a force-user that has a great handle on a 50-50 split of light and dark.

I am suggesting that the center is its own thing. I think that's what we're seeing visually. I think that's what we're being hinted at with the trailer quotes.

I beg to differ. It's pretty clearly symmetrical (to me) now.

In the NEW image we can clearly see the top-to-bottom image is inverse (roughly, maybe about 120* as opposed to a complete 180*) of the OLD image.

The new one shows, tilted a bit to the left (the line of symmetry points to 10:30) a white negative space on the left and a black negative inverse space on the right, reflected over that line of symmetry. In the left portion we have 1 orb in the 'upper' left area (we only really see the 'top' half) and it is colored black. It looks like it has a smaller white orb in it, off-center. The right 'side' reflects the inverse - in the same position is a dark orb with the smaller white off-center orb.

In the center is another orb. It sits equally on both sides, bisected by the line of symmetry. On the light side - a dark hemisphere. On the dark side - the inverse, a light hemisphere. It's hard to say but there may be a smaller orb inside it as well. Too grainy.

Hold this image in your head and imagine that line of symmetry pointing at 10:30 rotated to 6:00 due South. That is what the old image shows. You can see the line of symmetry from 12 to 6 (11:45 to 5:45 if we're splitting hairs). You can see the center orb has the dark and light side. The dark orb and half/orb are now the bottom-right. The light orb and half orb are now on the bottom left. The two half orbs of course meet to form the middle, third orb in the center.

Of note we can also see the 'bottom' hemisphere (now the 'top' of the image if we look at the old image) has the inverse negative space than the 'top' hemisphere of the new image.

Basically, what I'm saying is look at the old image. You will see what appears to be, for a lack of a better term, a 'butterfly' with a white left wing/side and a dark right wing/side. Below it are the three orbs.

Now, we don't know if the orbs are oriented up or down in the symbol. Or what that 'butterfly' area is supposed to represent. I think the orbs kind of speak for themselves.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
It seems more and more probable that Rey will go willingly with Kylo from Ahch-To to the Supremacy! Very interesting twist if that will be the case. I believe however that Luke will go with Chewie and his favourite Porg on the Falcon, leaving Ahch-To with them instead that reviving his X-Wing and flying away alone. Moreover I believe that the Falcon will be protagonist also in bringing down the Supremacy, maybe with the help of Poe and other resistance fighters in their black X-Wings.

Anyone notice the shot of Chewie with a feather in his mouth?

Confirmation that they are not along for the adventure but are in fact a travelling snack ;)

With Rey's injuries seen in this video and in the poster, will this be the first time that one of the leads is seen bruised, cut and bleeding?
