    So I was up in London for the day & popped into to this fantastic wine shop where they had a nice selection on taste.

    Now obviously I didn’t try them all :p

    But out of the ones I did try the best was the Clos St Hume which was sensational but still very young followed by the 99 Volney (Top photo 3rd from the right) a perfect mature Burgundy.
    The most unusual was the Portuguese White from 2001 (3rd photo Far Left ).

    Funny story, about 2 weeks ago we were out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and I ordered one. The waitresses eyes get huge and she was like "What did you say?". She was very young and I could see what was happening and I explained I wasn't spouting some random racism and it was a Mexican beer. She still walked away kind of unsure looking and a couple of minutes later she comes back with the bartender, another young lady, and says "Could you tell her what you want?". I get the feeling she didn't want to repeat it, perhaps afraid that she would get it wrong and say something racist. I don't know. So anyway I tell the bartender and she doesn't act surprised just doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about, I have to start explaining that it's a dark beer made by the same people who make Modelo Especial and finally she's like "I think I know what you mean, in a brown bottle with gold foil?". So we get all that out of the way and I get my beer(s) but on the way to the bathroom, which is in the bar, I see there's a big neon Negra Modelo sign behind the bar. :rolleyes: It's a pretty popular beer, I was very surprised neither the waitress or the bartender in a Mexican Restaurant had heard of it... but with a big neon sign in the joint? The look on the face of that first waitress was pretty hilarious though as well as the fact that she actually brought the bartender out to our table to hear it for herself.
