What era do you want to see next?

I don't think you hire GOT writers to write or produce a animated film.... that's a waste of money and their talent. It would make sense to do a Old Republic style series considering It's GOT light to begin with. I mean it make sense. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to more films in the time period of either 4-6 or 1-3.

 

From what I have seen, I think they would do well with an Old Republic era. Something a little more gritty and adult oriented. Not meaning as adult as GoT but not a movie geared for youngerwones that adults love too.

 

I think it would surprise nobody if this was an Old Republic series. These two swooped in once it was known that Rian was not going to touch this era. They haven't committed on a set number of films for a reason. They don't know how well the Old Republic stories will play with a general audience.

 

Obviously Old Republic. But it doesn't have to be a straight timeline. It could have time-jumps of maybe even decades in between episodes.

 

Yeah I think we are all in agreement that hopefully will be old republic era. now I don't know a lot about Old Republic (Just KOTOR Games) but yeah im down for that.

 

In Legends, the GFFA was really old, and I think that could really confuse some fans.

Like, it's already going to be kind of odd to have an Old Republic movie with tech not vastly dissimilar to what we see in the prequels, but in Legends humans were performing interplanetary colonization nearly 28,000 years before the Battle of Yavin, and other species had even been doing it for far longer. That's some pretty serious technological stagnation- and while I'm probably overthinking this, it might be cool to see that timeline adjusted to something slightly more realistic. We're pretty much locked into the timeline around 1,000 ABY, and that's fine, but it might be cool to have movies (or at least flashbacks) to early history, first contact between species, that sort of thing. Almost like a Mass Effect feel, but with Star Wars.

 

Far future for me. No hooded black robed villains please. No empire. No rebellion. If this is far future they should have worked all that out already. Want to see Star Wars push itself a little more as far as factions go. I do want Jedi though because they are the anchor of star wars. Want to see them in some new situations.

 

Personally, I believe that stories like these would interest Rian more than the GoT duo, especially the "Outbound Flight" idea.

 

That would be cool- more Mass Effect Andromeda than the original Bioware trilogy, but that game had some really interesting ideas too

 

If Old Republic is what happens, I'd like to see it be significantly far back. Like a series about the creation of the first lightsaber. Maybe force users use vibroblades or swords or something and there's an epic hero who crafts the first lightsaber and founds the jedi order.

While that is cool, it'd be interesting if the stuck with Episode 1 being Episode 1 and didn't go backwards...How about a series after the OT that sets up the galaxy in 7? Perhaps an entire series about the Knights of Ren, that explains what that name means, why kylo takes it, etc. Maybe they aren't just followers of him, maybe they have a long history and title of "Ren" is applied to all of them. It could tie into the main saga someway or not.

 

As far as I know there are plenty of stories in Legends - Old republic, Sith-Mandalorian-Jedi Wars (sorry, not familiar), etc. Having those plots rewritten by LFM StoryGroup will be even better than pushing new-near-original-trilogy stories. I believe that's why LFM wants those two to be in charge - GOT is great success as for me.

 

I wouldn't want to see them written word for word, but maybe adapted slightly more faithfully than Kylo was an adaptation of Jacen.

So, we could still have Revan, Malak, Nihilus, Kreia, Sion, the Mandalorian Wars, etc. All the iconic stuff can still exist much as it would be recognizable. But the plot itself could be different, and introduce new elements.

If they make a movie set long before TPM or after IX, they could establish the existence of multiple "Sagas", each of which is made of "Episodes".

 

I would like to see the origins of the jedi and sith. Maybe did the jedi order begin on jedha.......

 

An era we have never seen in Star Wars ever......

 

KOTOR era would be cool.
