What if your Rey theory is wrong?

There is nothing to clarify in Rey's parents are not in episode 7.

You only have to know how count to 7 to understand the sentence.

 

If ReySky is wrong I won't whine or make a big deal about it, but my interest will probably drift away from SW.

 

While you are entitled to your opinion and your emotions about SW are your own, this statement is really sad as SW is about so much more than just one character. It is a rich world with plenty of things to enjoy about SW. I hope that if Rey is not a Skywalker who can find something else to keep your interest.

 

I wouldnt be mad if my theory of Rey is wrong. I think we all have a few theories not only about Rey but Kylo and Luke and the whole ST. I happy to see where SW is going and hope they either continue trilogies and/or start new movies about the old republic and seeing past wars with Jedi/SITH. I do hope she is a Skywalker. either Lukes or even Leia's(just my theory). if shes a new character then i dont care. its a new story...

 

if my Rey theory is wrong, i will be happy to turn in my "you were wrong about Kylo Ren badge of shame" for a "you were wrong about Rey badge of shame" and then somehow find the strength to go on.

my whole love of Star Wars certainly doesn't hinge on Rey. : o p

 

J.J. Abrams was cited answering a question by some kid .

He said, , after a some 20 seconds thinking (withness reports in the video), that "Rey parents are not in episode VII."

This is the statement we all know about from long ago.And frankly we were "fixated" on it all the time.

"Rey parents are not in episode VII. So I can's possibly say in this moment who they are .
But I would say it is something that Rey thinks about to."

What has not been told, , is the second statement of J.J. Abrams he made one day (1 day) after this.

In his second statement J.J. sad that Rey's parents are not revealed to Rey in episode VII, by means they (plural) could be in Rey's world already and in ep. VII but the connection has not been established between the characters.

"What I ment is that she dosen't discover them in episode VII, not that they may not already be in her world"

I'm not sold on any theory on anything. You just need to be open. Although that doesn't mean that you can like or dislike a notion because you can. A bit like this place

Eh, it means LF sees the saga and franchise in a very different way than I do. That's their right of course, but it also means something else will probably engage me more. Life is short, choose the entertainment that you most enjoy.

 

If Rey is not a Skywalker then don't call it Episode 8. It should be Rey : A Star Wars Story.

And when Leia & possibly Ren w/ Luke probably get killed off in 9, who's the Skywalker in 10?

 

Nobody said there will be an Ep X.

 

Here's the bit of a conundrum we're in- it would be pretty satisfying to be "right" about your Rey theory.

But honestly, that'd be pretty much down to you going "heh, cool" and moving on. After all, if you've already been thinking about that exact event for two years, there's not a whole lot else to go with it, other than some satisfaction at being correct about something.

You know what would be way cooler? Being totally wrong. And not wrong as in "Gary from Accounting totally got it right and now that jerk is going to rub it into my face" wrong. Wrong as in "No one predicted this and it totally blew us away" wrong. That's what would really make an impression. Of course, as recent Game of Thrones episodes have shown, it's incredibly difficult to subvert the expectations of millions of over-analytical fans.
