    I recently learned that this was Gene Bryant as Vader in this scene, not Hayden Christensen.

    I did not know this.

    It would make sense that Hayden Christensen only played Darth Vader in the scenes where he was actually being turned into Darth Vader.

    Indeed. It also means every Star Wars film that Vader appears in, except A New Hope, had more than one actor in the Vader suit.

    Yes. The actor who played Darth Vader in the hallway scene was a stuntman, while the other actor was just a tall guy who knew how to imitate David Prowse's movements.

    Daniel Naprous is a 6'5" stuntman and horse master that portrayed Vader during the action sequences.

    I don't count JEJ with his voicing Vader - that's a given and no suit worn.

    Remember, my friends, how I said Darth Vader sounded different in A New Hope, pre-special edition? This video has some of the audio (I don't think it's all the original version, but definitely some of it is, like the "Where are those transmissions you intercepted at 0:45)!

    If you're used to the special edition, some of this will sound a bit different.
