Another legend has passed (RIP Fats Domino) and it made me wonder... Who among today's crop of talent will be mourned as legends 50+ years from now? I honestly cannot think of one, but then again I am not well versed in today's music.

Who do you guys think will be remembered as a legend.

Forgive the title. I mean to ask who will be considered to be legends 50+ years from now out of today's current stars? It seems to me that everything today is made in a mind-numbing repetitive fashion. Most of creativity is lost and that the era of legends may be gone.

I'd like to think either Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimi Hendrix because of their abilities.

From today's current artists, I can't think of one, but there are some that still mourn Janis Joplin...so ANYTHING is possible! ;)

Yeah, I mean from TODAY's crop of stars from 2010 on. I know that we still have a good number of living legends still going across various genres but I cannot think of one that sprung up in the last decade or so that could be legendary. I know that time is the only true way to reveal that sort of thing, but currently I cannot picture anything.

It seems to me that the last of the "legends", the ones who changed music as it was, happened in the grunge era of the early-mid 90's.

Taylor Swift, One direction, Justin, are among the many of my favorite legends.
