    Well the protagonists have been poor. Anakin was a slave who built things and even participated in gladiatorial games. You got the pod race was like roman chariots right. He was not just a junker. He was a low caste in a space fantasy which stole from ancient story tropes. Fall of republic, weird archetypial romance, people dying from lack of will. Luke was a farm boy who dreamed of adventure and excitement and was offered the life of a KNIGHT. The hot girl was a princess, and they need the help of a good hearted knave (scoundrel). These are mideval tropes in a space fantasy. Now we see Rey a junker who searches through trash for a living. The major galaxy powers are at war. Again. I would expect the story tropes to borrow from industrial eara war stories.

    You can call it rehash or unoriginal but very little if anything is original especially not plots. What you shoot for is people to see it as fresh.

    Not just gambling on pod races but is in them like her old grandpa. After all if she has the Falcon, and how did she get it? From daddy? and also the new shuttle pod the falcon pod or whatever its rumored to be called.
    Think of it Her daddy Han was not only a smuggler but a gambler, but a junkie that uses BB-8 for scouting recon etc. Also is force user that becomes the Jedi in the ST as her grandpa did in PT and her uncle Luke in OT, now her.
    1.Smuggler/Junkie
    2.Gambler/Pod-Racer
    3.Pilot/Loner

    These 3 points sound like bits and pieces from Anakin/Han/Luke. That is mirroring into Rey's character, she's a solo indeed with a tad skywalker! It's her life on tatoonie until Finn runs into her with her uncles lightsaber.

    Another note about BB-8 they'll mirror princess Leia putting death star plans into R2-D2, thus but this time a lightsaber is put into a droid.

    The concept art picture, could Poe ask or hire Rey to retrieve his crashed X-wing?

    1.Rey owns the pig dewback
    2.Rey owns or given the falcon
    3.Rey owns a speeder that used to be Luke's

    Rey's speeder, she modified Luke's x-34 and merged a what looks like a sit of a scout speeder seat from return of the jedi.

    The ownership of the Falcon is an odd one cause the rumor I read was they steal it. And its their second choice cause its despite being the coolest ship ever everyone in the SW universe thinks it looks like garbage.

    If so, I think Oscar Isaac would have a much harder time keeping tight-lipped. I know I would. I pilot the Falcon, suckers!

    Its been awhile but a few months Decemberish back him getting the falcon was brought up. The only thing that conflicts as far as I know is MSW. But saying Rey, Chewie and BB8 fly off at the end to give Luke a sabre doesn't necessarily mean Poe can't be there.
