Agreed it will be awesome moment for you both, I'm trying to get @Grand Admiral Juno Eclipse Marek to stay in Northern Ireland to watch it on 17th but her family are calling her home to Denver to see it there even though here was her home Denver was her birth home, I guess I will have to go it alone.

I'll be doing everything in my power to stop myself from looking at this site before the lights go down ;)

In all seriousness I'll be looking forward to the audience reactions. I get so into movies when the audience is into it. I think that actually made me like the prequels that first time I saw each of them. Biggest cheer moments I remember:
    • PM - "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."
    • PM - "STAR WARS"
    • PM - "Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi"
    • PM - "What is its number?" "R2D2, Your Highness."
    • AOTC - Yoda draws his lightsaber
    • ROTS - "Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth Vader"
    • ROTS - Vader takes his first masked breath
    • ROTS - Yoda decapitates the two clones on Kashyyk
    • ROTS - "Luke"
    • ROTS - "Leia"
Cheers I'm expecting this time around:
    • "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."
    • "STAR WARS"
    • Han introduced
    • Leia introduced
    • Luke introduced
    • Ackbar introduced
    • Nien Numb introduced
    • R2D2 introduced
    • C-3P0 introduced
    • Chewie introduced
    • First time a lightsaber is ignited
    • Vader mask shown
    • Millenium Falcon shown
    • "I have a bad feeling about this"
    • First time a jedi mind trick is used
I cannot wait for this movie....

Are we sure about this? I've been wondering for over a year, and haven't brought it up.

I don't know if you are joking, but Fox has nothing to do with the new films so there is no reason to give them any credit. Disney has already released the films digitally without the Fox logo and have added a new fanfare, now over the Lucasfilm logo. We don't know if this will be the same for TFA, but there is no way the Fox logo will be incorporated.

I would hope that Lucasfilm would get John Williams to record a new fanfare for TFA!

Or at least give us a version of the digital release one that isn't cobbled together. I kind of like that it isn't brand new music so it gives that classic, nostalgic vibe that the Fox music did. The Fox fanfare was written in 1933. The logo and music weren't being used much anymore by 77 and Lucas revived it because he wanted that classic opening.

Yea ! swore they ditched that when disney bought the franchise? No more 20 century fox. It was talked about how different the intro would feel w/o it.

This...is..priceless. I love the camaraderie that exists among Star Wars fans, and has for decades. No other film in history has this.

I will be watching the Force Awakens with lots of cousins, brothers, my sister, and my kids, and maybe the wife if she decides to join us nerds. This is the movie that our family has watched about every holiday get together since we were all born. Parents in one room eating and talking, and all 100 cousins in the other room running around and the TV would be playing a Star Wars movie. So, it is going to be an emotional time for all of us to experience a new chapter together, and for us to now pass it on to a 3rd generation. As our family name is Walker, I always ask my mother why she didn't make my middle name "sky"? She thought I'd get in trouble at school she tells me.

couldnt they reach an agreement where they could somehow find a way to both use disney logo and fox logo side to side in the same frame with a similar music? or use fox logo it doesnt seem realistic but just asking.

If I recall the Episode I premiere, it was a lot of cheering and talking. A roar of cheering when the LFL logo came up, then dead silence when "a long time ago..." displayed. And then one more huge roar of applause and cheering when "EPISODE I" scrolled onto the screen.

This was before we knew, what we know now, but at that midnight showing we didn't care.

Whenever that SW music blares and the Opening Crawl hits the screen, I get a nervous and surreal feeling. The one thing I'm good at is knowing in the first 15 minutes whether I will like the film or not. Usually if the characters grab me in the first 5 minutes, then I know I'm on board. If they don't resonate with me then I know that this may not be for me. I remember the opening sequence of TPM and feeling Obiwan and QuiGon were a huge bore, along with meeting Jar Jar who was over the top, and thinking this movie may not be for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Rey and Finn appeal to me in that opening sequence.

:) Yea I went to see the TPM at a matinee. I remember three teenage boys a couple rows in front of me. All I could see was the sides of their faces and I remember sensing their disappointment at the Qui-Gonn Obi-Wan OPening sequence. That stupid green gas from the vent's. Let me stop cause I don't want to go there......AGAIN!

Not sure if you're a Seinfeld fan but whenever you start getting angst from talking about the Prequels you should say, "Serenity Now!" ;)

    It worked for Mr. Costanza!
